Additional Information

VETO PRO PAC TOOL BAGS PRODUCT CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Keep the Zippers Clean & Lubricated

Over time, dirt and grit will “clog” the zipper coils preventing them from staying closed. To keep this from happening, clean and lubricate your zippers twice a year (more often if you work on a job site with a high amount of airborne debris). To clean the coils: Scrub them with soapy water; a tooth brush works very well. After scrubbing the coils, blow them out with an air hose to dislodge any other fine grit that didn’t dislodge with the brush. To lubricate the coils: Apply a silicone spray, beeswax or a zipper lubricant.

Protect the Zippers From Sharp Objects and/or Excessive Heat

Any sharp object or heat source is capable of permanently damaging the zippers. Once a zipper coil is cut or singed the zipper will not function and in most cases is not repairable. Most of the cut zipper coils we see are the result of sharp tools stored inside the bag with the sharp side facing up. Make sure to keep the sharp edges of your tools facing down in your bag and away from the zipper coils.

Don’t Overstuff the Bag

Overstuffing your tool bag will very likely cause significant stress on the zippers that is above and beyond what the bag was built for and will eventually cause the zipper(s) to separate. If you have to work hard to close your zipper(s), your tool bag is most likely overstuffed… proceed with caution!

I’m an elevator service mechanic. I owned the Veto MC bag for many years and, it just wasn’t quite large enough to carry everything I needed for everyday use without cramming it in the bag. This bag is not much larger than the mc however the added pouches on the side of this bag are perfect for keeping my meter in one side and all of my jumper kits in the other. It’s great having the backpack straps so I can free up my hands walking to different jobs, and climbing ladders. It is very comfortable for me to wear.

Best Veto yet, transports well, store lots, not too bulky for roof access. Have tech pack and tp-xxl before.

I have had this bag for a month or so.
    I love it!
The convenience of having most of what I need, including adding a carabiner to hold a water bottle for these Phoenix summers!
The little cubbies and pockets are super-useful for everything from jumpers to CO2 gun and cartridges.
I followed them on social media and got a free tape t-bar, also!
I look forward to years of service with this bag.

This is my first Veto pro pac tool backpack, i do industrial and commercial hvac and refrigeration. This bag fits all of my tools i need to do my job. The design of it is perfect. I have had multiple other tool backpacks but this one by far beats them all. I definitely will now be sticking with Veto pro pac bags

I bought this bag for ergonomic reasons, as the TP-XL was becoming too much for just one shoulder. This bag did not disappoint! It’s holds nearly all the contents in my previous bag with some room to spare! The only thing I’d improve would be the padding of the shoulder straps; I like the comfort of the straps on the Tech Pac, which is my laptop bag, and so I wish these straps had a little more cushion on them. Aside from that, this is a solid bag, and I’m glad I made the switch!

Awesome bag. I have had the MB2 for years and use it everyday and it is still in good shape, just decided to upgrade to the MB5B. I love the bag and the V swap is a cool feature. Thanks for making the bags strong as my old bags would only last months!!!!!

Upgraded from a TP-XXL love the space for a meter on the side. Plenty of room inside. Back pack straps are the only downside to this bag. They are very uncomfortable. The straps dig into your shoulders. Hopefully with time they will break in.

HVAC service tech doing commercial and residential service and repairs. This bag is awesome! The main reason I bought this is it’s lighter and has the meters pouches. The shoulder straps on the bag are very nice, not a nice as the tech pac. The bag loaded down with everything I need including the weight of the bag it comes in at 26lbs 1oz. I have everything from PVC cutters, m12 screwdriver, two containers of screws and wire nuts. To all the hand tools everyone has. This purchase will not be a mistake.

Lightweight, tons of storage, easy access, meter pouches, and a 5 year warranty.

I got this bag just over one (1) month and I must say it has already shown its worth. I recently started a new commercial refrigeration career and the ability to carry tools that can attend to 90% of calls without making a second trip to the work vehicle is a plus in my book. Bag isn’t fully loaded, amd while it has some weight to it, it isn’t off balanced and causing stress while carrying on my back.
I am 100% satisfied with this product and woukd recommend to anyone.

This MB5B tool bag is a unique backpack. Offering multiple ways on how to lay out the inside of the tool compartment and meter section with its removal panels. It’s lite weight and with just enough room to to carry the tools for troubleshooting
and to do most repairs (HVAC/R)…You do have to put some thought on how to loadout the bag because if you’re trying to transfer all the tools from an LC bag or a bigger backpack, or an MCT, it’s not happening. And of course being a VETO bag, quality is outstanding.

I use this bag for commercial HVAC service and repair. It’s a pretty nice well built bag. fits all my Fieldpiece probes and hand tools nicely. Makes going up and down ladder accesses feel more safe as my previous bag would swing around and get caught on the ladder access super sketch. 10/10 would recommend. Planning on getting the MB4B as well as my PM bag.

As someone who works on board military ships, particularly in fixing radars, finding a tool bag that accommodates the necessary equipment and suits the unique challenges of ship environments is paramount. The Veto MB5B tool bag has been a worthy companion in this regard.

My primary concern was finding a bag that could house essential tools while still allowing easy maneuverability through ladder wells and tight spaces. The Veto MB5B meets this criterion admirably. Its design features compartments perfectly suited for handheld oscilloscopes and multimeters, essential tools in my line of work. Furthermore, there’s ample space for various tools and test probes, ensuring I have everything I need without overloading the bag and making it cumbersome to carry.

One of the standout features of the Veto MB5B is its balance between capacity and weight. Even when fully loaded, the bag remains manageable and doesn’t strain my shoulders during extended periods of use.

However, every tool bag has limitations, and the Veto MB5B cannot comfortably accommodate a laptop alongside the tools. While the back pocket seems like a convenient spot for a laptop, it falls short in terms of size. Though my laptop fits, the flap struggles to close, necessitating carrying it separately. While this isn’t a deal-breaker for me, it’s a notable inconvenience, especially when trying to streamline my gear for efficiency.

It’s important to note that I was aware of this limitation when I purchased the bag, so I don’t fault the Veto MB5B for my own miscalculation. I just wish Veto could make a flap extender to cover the laptop. Despite this drawback, the bag excels in its primary function: providing a durable and organized solution for transporting essential tools in challenging work environments.

In summary, the Veto MB5B tool bag is a reliable companion for professionals like myself who require efficient tool organization and mobility in demanding settings. While it may not be perfect for every scenario, its strengths far outweigh its limitations, making it a worthwhile investment for anyone needing a dependable tool bag.

This is a perfect “just enough” bag. It’s holds exactly the tools I need. This is my second Veto and I’m sure it won’t be my last. Quality construction to handle the wear and tear of the job site. Cant wait to see what Veto come out with next!

***I wanted to update my previous review now that I have spent more time with my Veto bag! I made a comment in previous review I want to correct! I had uncomfort with bottom of bag comming into contact with my back, mainly because I had the straps tightened up so tight I could barely get the bag off myself:) I loosened up the straps and let the bag be lower on my back. Not a problem anymore, and I can get the bag off of me quick!

I have only come to love this bag more and more each day I use it. The bag never falls over, zippers are superb quality, and incredibly strong material. Again, this is my 14th Veto bag and I have never had any damage occur to my bags and I beat them up. I even drove over my TP-XL with my Van by accident and you could barely tell!! It also protected my tools in that event. Specifically my expensive Bluetooth Refrigerant Probes. Veto saved me some money there!

So I’m an HVAC tech and decided it was time to upgrade from my Tech-MCT bag that I’ve had for about 10 years now(which is still in pretty good shape). I love this bag!!! The versatility of it is amazing and it fit everything I had in the MCT with room to spare. I took out the large inserts that come with this bag because at the moment I like my tool layout the way I have it. Best part about this bag is if I want to change it and add those inserts back in for more tool storage, there’s still plenty of space for that. I’ve switched back and forth between using it as a backpack and carrying like a regular tool bag as I also purchased the 50” shoulder strap. The outside velcro pockets are deeper than I thought they would’ve been, and the padded meter pockets are wide enough to fit a Fluke F116 multimeter with leads next to it and the taller 324 clamp meter. Don’t let the price scare you, I’ve been using this bag for a week and can tell you it’s worth every dollar. Well done Veto!!!!

Im an electrician and this is the best tool bag ive ever had! It holds all my tools with so much extra room i even add space to put a 12volt drill in the front pocket the sides are helpful to put in extra tools you dont use very often and the side mini pouches are good for my drill tap set and other drill bits! Worth every penny and I highly recommend it

Awesome backpack. Exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’m an hvac tech and the bag holds all my service tools, meters and probes. It’s not as heavy as the other backpacks when fully loaded.

About time the smaller backpack bag came out. Ordered mine as soon as it was released. It’s exactly what I’ve been needing. Being an HVAC/R technician. On a lot of roofs. The smaller backpack bag is perfect. I’ve got everything I need. And no where near as heavy as the full size backpack bag. The perfect tool bag period!!!!!

I “upgraded” from the TP-XXL (fantastic bag) because of the backpack straps. For me it was easier to carry tools while also leaving my hands free for other items or tools boxes. This bag fits it all, I’m an electrician and carry just about everything I need as an every day carry bag. The customization with v-swap gives this bag so many options in what you carry, and how you carry it. I couldn’t recommend this bag enough for anyone in the trades looking for a backpack that carries it all, but isn’t huge.

I purchased the MB5B to replace my “Over-the-Shoulder” TP-XXL. Very similar design between the two which was great because I wanted the keep the same tool layout, and go to the “Back-Pack” style of the MB5B.

No complaints. I noticed sometimes if I don’t pay attention and swing the bag (which is fully loaded with tools) on my back really quickly, the base CAN hit my back (not always) . A little bit of discomfort, however I put some cloths in the back compartment to create a little more space back there and it hasn’t happened again.

Would be nice if there were a stiffer thin pad right above all the way along the base on the back side to prevent the base from coming into contact with your back by creating some more space between you and the bag. Like I said, I corrected the issue by simply inserting some rags (which I need with me anyway) into the rear compartment typically used for Tablet storage.

Just be aware, it has an awesome sturdy waterproof base, and don’t get into a rush when throwing it on your back fully loaded with tools! You definitely don’t have to baby the bag, but like me, you may have to baby yourself sometimes. Haha!
