Veto Pro Pac’s Award Winning Tech Pac Backpack Tool Bag just got BETTER!

Veto’s Tech Pac Camo backpack tool bag is designed specifically for professional tradesmen who need to climb ladders or walk long distances on a daily basis. Our Camo version features True Timber ® Kanati pattern , YKK Locking Zippers, a Magnetic Screw Catcher, Metal Shoulder Strap Sliding Buckles, Light Gray Interior Pockets for Better Visibility, Redesigned Front Top Pockets for Better Storage and a Redesigned Stainless Steel Tape Clip Holder.

Designed to enable the safe and comfortable transport of a variety of tools when servicing equipment accessible by extension or cage ladders, or in cities or industrial buildings where walking long distances is required, the Tech Pac features Veto Pro Pac’s patented center panel, heavy duty construction and stabilizing injection molded waterproof base that keeps tools dry, even in the nastiest of conditions.

With 46 pockets inside and out, the Tech Pac has ample room for hand tools, meters, parts boxes, cordless drills and impact drivers, as well as other bulkier items such as manifold gauges, hoses, cable wires and even a tablet: pocket for a tablet or laptop is only 7″ X 10″; fits a small laptop or most tablets.

The backpack features an innovative quick release handle that allows easy access to the larger tool bay compartment and reduces the strain on the shoulder straps unlike any other backpack bag.

The Tech Pac’s patented center panel design offers dual bays with two tool storage platforms in each bay. The center panel design with the main tool and meter storage options on each side centers and stabilizes the backpack. The Tech Pac, either when closed and ready for transportation, or opened for quick and easy access, is uniquely designed not to tip over unlike most backpack bags.

It also includes D-rings, bit extension and memory stick pockets, and a stainless steel tape clip.

The TECH PAC is also made for comfort with a thermo-formed EVA padded back panel that helps cushion the load (which also provides structural stability), a padded load displacing shoulder strap system with multiple adjustment strap points and an ergonomic TPV rubber grip.

“The most difficult assignments for tradesmen are those where you need to climb a ladder or haul tools over long distances.  You need to be able to carry all the tools you are going to need safely and comfortably,” said Roger Brouard, founder of Veto Pro Pac and the designer of the Tech Pac.

Brouard added, “We wanted to see first hand how tradesmen in the field deal with those conditions, so I spent weeks with them on the job observing them – from looking at OSHA standards of three points of contact on ladders, hauling tools up with a rope, to the need for a backpack that would fit through cages and stand up when being used, to a backpack that is comfortable and won’t get wet when placed down in wet or muddy conditions. This product is the result of those observations and the resolution to those challenges.”

Veto Pro Pac Tool Bags Product Care and Maintenance

Keep the Zippers Clean & Lubricated

Over time, dirt and grit will “clog” the zipper coils preventing them from staying closed. To keep this from happening, clean and lubricate your zippers twice a year (more often if you work on a job site with a high amount of airborne debris). To clean the coils: Scrub them with soapy water; a tooth brush works very well. After scrubbing the coils, blow them out with an air hose to dislodge any other fine grit that didn’t dislodge with the brush. To lubricate the coils: Apply a silicone spray, beeswax or a zipper lubricant.

Protect the Zippers From Sharp Objects and/or Excessive Heat

Any sharp object or heat source is capable of permanently damaging the zippers. Once a zipper coil is cut or singed the zipper will not function and in most cases is not repairable. Most of the cut zipper coils we see are the result of sharp tools stored inside the bag with the sharp side facing up. Make sure to keep the sharp edges of your tools facing down in your bag and away from the zipper coils.

Don’t Overstuff the Bag

Overstuffing your tool bag will very likely cause significant stress on the zippers that is above and beyond what the bag was built for and will eventually cause the zipper(s) to separate. If you have to work hard to close your zipper(s), your tool bag is most likely overstuffed… proceed with caution!

The best tool bag I’ve ever
The best tool bag I’ve ever owned. I do commercial HVAC service and it has saved me so many trips to the truck by having everything I need to diagnose and repair all types of equipment in the field. I’ve had the original tech pac for over 3 years and have now gotten the camo tech pro backpack and will always be return to veto when I need a want a new bag. This is my 5th veto tool bag and have them all fully stocked and ready to go depending on the type of call. Thanks veto for the best bags on the market.

This is my 4th Veto tool bag,
This is my 4th Veto tool bag, and it’s the best one so far. The zippers seem different, they are effortless to use. With the Pro Pack backpack I went for the Camo edition. Not because I’m trying to hide from deer but for the extra features, like the magnetic screw holder. I replaced a Kline backpack that I did like but the new Veto holds everything that was in the Kline In just the the front compartment of the Veto. In the back compartment I have a Testo manifold with hoses and temperature clamps with room for a lot more tools. The bag does get heavy but when your heading roof top how many trips do you want to make? As for the price yes they are expensive, you get what you pay for with the Veto bags, and that’s quality. I’m not a Veto salesman, I just think these bags are the best you can buy and for the money they should be. As for comfort the integrated shoulder straps that attaches at the top of the bag distributes the weight very well. The back panel is vented and moulded to help reduce heat and sweat, although I don’t carry the pack that far or long to really be a problem, but I like that they where thinking about the person who has to carry it. So like the title says it’s a awsome tool bag and I’m glad I got it.

    I have been towing tools
I have been towing tools since I learned to walk, always working on something or building something! This is the reason I went all in on my first Veto Bag which was the Tech Pac Camo. I am a residential HVAC installer. This is my “service bag” See it’s important for guys like us to have a quality bag at side too! I will gladly promote this bag to all of my co workers and friends in any trade! Why spend a third of the money for a bag that only lasts one year if you plan to work for at least another 20 years? Good job Veto! Don’t let me down!

I’ve had the Tec Pac Camo
I’ve had the Tec Pac Camo edition for two months now, and I can honestly say that this bag is worth every penny. I got into the trades a little over a year ago, and like most new apprentices, I bought a cheap tool bag just to get by. The first bag I got was poorly designed, so accessing my tools in an efficient manner was out of the question. The inside of the bag was black, and it was just like a black hole. Fast forward to four different tool bags later, I ended up with the Tech Pac Camo. I love this bag!

I’m a commercial electrician who does high rises in NYC. My days usually consist of 3 or 4 tasks spread apart across the building my company is working in. A day can start with troubleshooting an apartment on the 10th floor and then I’d have to drop down to the lobby to run some pipe at lunch. This is where the Tech Pac Camo really shines; I have all of my tools neatly organized and ready to be used (I can access every tool I use frequently with my eyes closed) and I am very mobile around the job site. There’s nothing like trying to climb 8 flights of stairs with a rolling toolbox that weighs 50 lbs. I don’t have any complaints and the design features that Veto Pro Pac put into this bag make my work day so much easier. The fact that I can walk up 8 flights of stairs, put my bag down, unzip the flap and get to work with a small working surface right next to me without having to dig around is a game changer. The bag does not tip over when open, and the light grey lining on the inside of the bag makes finding tools a breeze. The pockets are sized well enough that I don’t have a hard time pulling tools out of their pouches or having too much slack in them.

If I could make one recommendation to Veto Pro Pac, I would ask them to think about adding some sort of hip belt to the backpack that could be stored away. This bag gets really heavy when fully loaded (not the bags fault, just a nature of carrying tools) and walking far distances or up flights of stairs can put some strain on my back. The hip belt would better help distribute the weight to my legs.

Overall, I’m very happy with the Tech Pac Camo and the customer service that Veto offers. I would buy this bag again in a heartbeat and I would recommend this to a friend or coworker without hesitation!

This bag is a dream come true
This bag is a dream come true. It is super durable and keeps my tools organized. The price was not a deterrent for me because I have several other Veto bags and know they are built to last years. If you are on the fence about purchasing I would definitely get it. You will not be disappointed.

    This bag (really ANY Veto
This bag (really ANY Veto brand bag) really stands in a league of their own… As a generator field service supervisor and electrician for over 14 years, I’ve used lots of bags, but never one this rugged and well-built. I may end up retiring with this bag! Has plenty of pockets and space for tools when moving from service call to service call. The heavy duty plastic bottom is great for sitting in snow and muddy grass, just wipes off. If I had one thing to wish for here, it would be additional (smaller) pockets in the main section for taller tools, vs. the larger pockets designed to groups of tools. Not a deal-breaker by ANY means…

great quality bag, it holds all the tools I use regularly and very comfortable to carry. highly recommend if you like using back packs

  11. Rated 5 out of 5

This backpack is very well made, and I’m very satisfied with the quality . It does get heavy quick, but it’s a big tool bag so you can’t have your cake and eat it too. I try to keep the tools I use the most in it to keep the weight down, and I keep my seldom used tools in a separate bag. The 5 year warranty is very fair. I love Veto Pro Pac, I also own the Meter Bag which I use extensively.

So I have had this back pack for 2yrs now have been waiting to see the durability before I left a review, I have had lots of tool bags in my 19yrs as a Hvac and standby generator tech some lasted a few yrs some a few months so when I seen these bags and the cost I didn’t jump on purchasing right away and bought a clc back pack and after 9 months zipper issues then stitching issues then about 18 months zipper failure. That was it bit the bullet spent the $300 bucks and haven’t been happier with the purchase, has a couple minor issues but nothing I am worried about since it has a 5yr warranty. I have been telling everybody I work with to get these bags some have listened and others still choose to be cheap and buy and replace the cheap on a regular basis. My advice don’t be cheap buy it once and you won’t regret it. I have to finish by saying I don’t write reviews often, but when I do it’s because I really love the product and want people to get good feedback about a product. One last thing one of my co workers got distracted by a customer and left his tech pac behind his van and ran it over junk right nope bags is just fine has some scraps and scuffs now but he is still using it with no problems and it has been a 1yr since he did that.
