Additional Information

Veto Pro Pac Tool Bags Product Care and Maintenance

Keep the Zippers Clean & Lubricated

Over time, dirt and grit will “clog” the zipper coils preventing them from staying closed. To keep this from happening, clean and lubricate your zippers twice a year (more often if you work on a job site with a high amount of airborne debris). To clean the coils: Scrub them with soapy water; a tooth brush works very well. After scrubbing the coils, blow them out with an air hose to dislodge any other fine grit that didn’t dislodge with the brush. To lubricate the coils: Apply a silicone spray, beeswax or a zipper lubricant.

Protect the Zippers From Sharp Objects and/or Excessive Heat

Any sharp object or heat source is capable of permanently damaging the zippers. Once a zipper coil is cut or singed the zipper will not function and in most cases is not repairable. Most of the cut zipper coils we see are the result of sharp tools stored inside the bag with the sharp side facing up. Make sure to keep the sharp edges of your tools facing down in your bag and away from the zipper coils.

Don’t Overstuff the Bag

Overstuffing your tool bag will very likely cause significant stress on the zippers that is above and beyond what the bag was built for and will eventually cause the zipper(s) to separate. If you have to work hard to close your zipper(s), your tool bag is most likely overstuffed… proceed with caution!

Perfect for ground work in the electrical utilities. Big enough to hold your transmission tower wrench. Been using it everyday for the past three months and it is worth its weight in gold. Great to protect your tools in a harsh winter

I have been a self employed painter for many years and been through a handful of tools bags only to rip and just not have enough storage. Saw the Veto a few years ago online but seemed a bit pricey, but have now purchased one. This is money well spent! Best tool bag hands down! Even had to buy some nice new tools to put in the nice pockets!

Overall an awesome bag. It holds everything I wanted it to, right up to 24″ pipe wrenches and a 2′ level. I think it could stand to be about 2 inches wider, 1″ for each side to give more storage on the pocketed side and keep a couple code books or manuals on the other side.

The safety glasses spot could be a bit larger, none of my safeties fit in it, but it holds other stuff nicely.

Aside from what I would personally be after though, this thing is solid! It holds a ton of stuff and big stuff at that while still giving me the ability to keep it all organized. And it doesn’t fold in half when I get it loaded like my old bags did.

Fantastic tool bag, oozes quality and construction is solid! Finally a tool bag that houses all of my most used tools and much more. I think I have found my tool bag brand for life. Great job and thumbs up from the UK.

overall an excellent bag – only issues i have are not sure what you are capable of storing in the zip pockets -not very wide – not found them useful for bits ( i am an electrician and use lots of bits -such as connector blocks, fuses – wagos etc) -and bigger (wider) pockets on outside would be great , and to be really picky -it could do with being 3 inches wider in all -on the positive side total zip closure stops my tools falling out , which is why i purchased it

I’m an electrician, I have the LC for service work and it’s great but when I went back to running conduit I needed something longer to hold my longer 24” power nut drivers for building large conduit racks, hammer, and some Klein zipper bags. It’s working out great. The only thing I had to figure out was that the bag isn’t as tall as my LC. I use the long Klein nut drivers and I stand them up in the back row in my LC but the XXL-F is slightly lower so I had to cut my 8” file down and inch and buy the 4” 9/16 nut driver. If you take care of your stuff and don’t overload these bags they should last forever. The only thing I would do would to add an outside pouch like the Tech bags or come up with an attachment that would hold something between the 2 loops on the front and back to secure the zipper bag.

    Hi from Australia,
Went looking online for the ultimate portable tool bag to house a substantial all in one tool kit and cordless essentials. The XXL-F is what i decided to give a try. With thoughtful purchase of highest quality all in one tools to reduce need for complete sets of tools, I am able to fit nearly every kind of general tool and many specialised tools in the pocketed side and in the other more open side, my cordless impact driver and hammer drill with comprehensive bit sets. Also has room for hammers, rulers @ squares with a few regularly used items hanging on the outside. This tool kit is awesome! It does weigh a bit but only because I have a very complete kit in here. The strength of the handles and shoulder strap allow you to easily carry the kit despite the weight. This is largely because being a soft bag it nestles in tight against you and has no sharp edges to snag you. You could never carry what i have in this bag any other way. Have been using for around a year and is still unchanged from the day it arrived. It actually still retains some of that new stiffness found in high quality heavy duty products. I will never buy another brand product in tool storage as I put together my more specialized kits.

I’d love to give it 5 stars but the Zippers simply are not tough enough and even with keeping them clean and oiled they still failed. Everything else is perfect!! Tough and durable and a great design and I really want to buy another but you need zippers with bigger stronger teeth in my opinion. I hope they get updated or at least put them on the xxl-f and see how they go

First product I bought from Beto was this bag I thought it was a lot to splash out on but upon receiving the bag in the mail I was blown away by how well it was made and the way it was payed out it’s very much like the old carpenters tool box but in a bag form can even get a saw in it which no other bag I’ve come across will do.
Wouldn’t hesitate to buy anything else by veto a nail bag would be really good.
Things to note inside the bag is all the space they’ve put little pouches for all your little bits and bobs and also a dedicated place for your saftey glasses which is easy to access but out of the way of the tools pouches.
I would highly recommend this product especially veto’s customer care I had an issue with the zipper they sent me a whole new bag free of charge so very happy with that and I see this bag lasting many years to come.

I purchased the XXL-F 6 years ago the had it stolen off my truck. I searched in vain to try and find another bag to replace it not wanting to pay the price of a new one again. I’m a general contractor and use the bag to organize tools in my high-side boxes. I can access everything in the bag without taking off the truck, huge time saver. No other bag even comes close to the usability of the XXL-F. So I bought another one. When you compare this bag to the construction and utility to other bags of the same nature there is no comparison. My bag has been so loaded up, total weight of bag and tools was over 80 lbs. I Never had any issues with compartments or zippers. I love all the compartments on the one side and the large compartment on the other. The internal holder for carpenters square is a nice plus. The three small zipper compartments serve well to hold magnetic stud finder, stair nuts and spare batteries. When I have had to take the bag off of the truck the handle and shoulder strap were more than capable of doing the job. I have several bags for different tools nothing comes close to durability and functionality of this bag.

I was hesitant to spend so much money on a bag but it was well worth it. This bag allows me to carry all my hand tools for service calls along with cabinet or fixture install jobs. Even when fully loaded the bag is still manageable. There are enough pockets to keep smaller hand tools organized while the open back compartment is a great catch-all and has enough room for a drill and two foot Stabila level. Having zippers on both sides helps keep everything in place even in the back of a van driving over potholes. The hard moulded bottom is easy to wipe down and prevents water from wicking inside even on slushy snow.

First of all, I am so impressed with this bag that I almost immediately ordered the Tech XL bag. VETO is undoubtedly the most detailed line of professional tool transport and organizational systems.
When it comes to the XXL-F Bag, I really like the open bay concept on the back half of the divider. I carry four DEWALT 20Max V tools and charger. The only reason for the four star rating is that the opening for the framing square is unnecessary and comprises the weather proofing on this side. I also would appreciate one larger out side pocket as opposed to the two shallow pockets.
The tool organization side is second to none and promotes positive work flow. I also added two Velcro straps to the front D-rings to attach a 48” level.
Overall great investment and I look forward to many years of great service from VETO. 4.5 Stars!!!

Great bag, plumber by trade,i used this bag as a stuff all tools i need for commercial, residential, service work into.
Has even weight distribution regardless how its loaded up.
The zipper did break and veto sent me a brand new bag with no headaches to deal with. Legit company that stands behind their product. Iv since added the ot-mc, tp4b and pb4 parts bags to my van to lighten the load on this bag.
If your a pro and make pro money then buy a pro bag an stop working out of a pail.

I’m a mobile automotive technician; I don’t care what tool bag brand you currently have, throw it away and get this bag or any veto pro pac. As an auto tech, some days I am a “contractor” and some days I’m a “tech”. This bag works flawlessly for the grunt work I have to do on the non tech days. You will NOT be disappointed with this bag; AMAZING!

I decided to purchase the XXL-F as my previous Makita tool bag was falling to pieces after less than 6 months use. I wanted to buy a bag that would last so I thought it was worth the premium price. I often have to carry my tools onto site so a reliable and easy to carry bag was important. I was impressed when I received the XXL-F as it is clearly well constructed and the design has been meticulously planned for ease of use and durability. I use one side for my power tools (SDS, combi, impact, multi tool fit comfortably) and the other for some hand tools and power tool accessories. There are loads of storage compartments to use on one side and the other is perfect for my larger items. This is great as I was carrying my power tool accessories in multiple containers in my old drill bag as they just got lost in the bottom otherwise which was really inconvenient and made my bag unnecessarily bulky. This is definitely not a problem with the XXL-F and it is very quick, easy and convenient to store and find whatever you need which saves valuable time on site to get on and earn money. It is too early to comment on reliability as I have only had the bag for a few weeks, however I am confident that the XXL-F will stand the test of time as it feels extremely well made and the 5 year warranty provides reassurance on this also. I would definitely recommend the XXL-F to anyone who needs a large capacity drill bag that is tough and convenient to use. I would highly recommend any Veto Pro Pac product based on my experience so far. I will most certainly be buying a Veto Pro Pac tool backpack also for my many hand tools.

This my new Fluke Electronic Equipment/Meter Bag !

I have several of the Veto Pro Pac Tech XL bags and love them (if you don’t add too many tools, otherwise you will need a hand truck to move them around), so when I saw the XXL-F, I thought my Tech XL’s were going to kill me at 40 lbs each, my god!, how much would a XXL-f weigh fully loaded with tools? Then I realized my Fluke Test equipment carry bag sucks rocks and this would be the perfect solution. It carries my FLUKE scopes, meters, probes and Cat 6 cable tools and testers and few hand tools. Only weighs about 25 lbs. Thanks Veto Pro Pack! Quality is 2nd to none !

The xxlf is hands down best
The xxlf is hands down best bad I’ve ever owned! And the warranty is second to none. At 4 years at 10 months my zippers failed… Upon inspection veto decided to replace the bag. The whole process was like a week. They sent me a new loaner bag, and basically told me to keep it.

The bag itself is great… But be cautious it will hold anything you can true at it… It gets heavy af! Only down sides if I must… The safety glasses pouch… Doesn’t hold any of the glasses I’ve tried to put in it… Great pocket for other parts tho. And the new tape strap (compared to the first xxlf model I had) is significantly shorter… Like annoying shorter. Veto, please fix this! And lastly if there had to be another improvement, make it a bit taller. I can’t stand up 12″ channellock pliers, and actually downsized to 10″ just so it fit in the bag. Oh, and wheels would be a definite welcome addition.

All in all, if your looking for 1 bag to carry it all, this thing is a beast! I rate it a solid 4.5 out of 5

This is now the 3rd tool bag
This is now the 3rd tool bag I’ve had from veto pro Pac. The 1st is the laptop bag which was purchased second hand from eBay. I still own it, but replaced with the xxl-f and was glad I did. The xxl is a very long bag but it does allow me to organise my tools very well. The build quality is so good compared to other brands.

I also purchased a smaller bag as a terminal bag and it’s now about 3 years old

If you are thinking that the bags are expensive then think of it as a long term investment because these bags will out last any other bag by years.

These bags should see me to my retirement and I’m only 53…

This tool bag is great. It
This tool bag is great. It holds all of the tools I use on a general basis and we’ll worth the money. My co-workers complain that it is heavy. Wimps. The only issue is when I shoulder carry the bag it sits a little long and I find it bumping into door jams and such, but that’s easily dealt with. Being way up north often I am working in the snow and damn, my tools aren’t soaking wet and rusted just sitting in the bag. I would say this is the best tool bag out there.

    This bag is stupidly well
This bag is stupidly well constructed! The internal pockets work well and it has been well thought out.

I understand that it has been designed to be carried onto site, but I want a bigger one! I have one side stuffed with and tools, the other is split between meters, soldering kit and a few other pouches all vertically stacked then my longer tools lying horizontally. This all works great, but I need somewhere for a few cordless tools. If only this bag had a central section with zippable ‘lid’ I would need only one bag and not two!

    I’m a plumber. I need a tool
I’m a plumber. I need a tool bag that is tough and durable. This is it. I have it for a few weeks now and I wish I hadn’t wasted money on cheaper tool bags. I’ve been well pleased with this one. I’ve even had some customers comment on it on how heavy duty and well it’s made. Last bag I’ll have to buy. Keep up the good work and high quality of these tool bags.

I was hesitant to buy this
I was hesitant to buy this tool bag, because I thought it would be too big and too heavy to tote around. It filled up quickly, and now I’m wishing I hadn’t hesitated to buy it. All my things are in one place, and neatly stowed where I can grab them quickly. Originally, I had two smaller bags to carry everything, but all fits into this one. I keep it on my boat just in case something is needed on the water. Great tool-bag that I highly recommend.

We bought this for my dad
We bought this for my dad somewhere around 10 years ago. As a high end historical remodeler and now a commercial contractor these bags go through a lot. He has to tote it in and out every day. It’s loaded with around 150 lbs of tools, gadgets, odds/ends, and essentials. We jokingly call it his purse. He loves it and we are now working to get him the smaller bag he is lusting for. Worth every penny spent and more!

  32. John havlicek

There really is no way to
There really is no way to find fault with the XXL-F. It’s ridiculously tough, beautifully laid-out for organizing all your tools so that they can all be seen and grabbed easily and has a low-profile that doesn’t tend to flip over in the bed of my truck the way tool “boxes” can. It’s even easy to carry with a full load, as opposed to square/rectangular hard boxes. It’s clear that this thing was designed by someone who’s been there/done that and best of all…made in the good old USA. I’m on my second one, not because my first wore out, but because it was stolen. Now…if Veto made tool belts…I’d be all over that!

  33. John Havlicek

I’ve been using the XXL-F for
I’ve been using the XXL-F for some years now after decades of being frustrated by other alternatives. It’s astonishing how much fits easily into this bag, and even more so because all of it remains easily accessible…no digging around to find something. Best of all, the bag is tough as heck, much tougher than solid material tool boxes…whether wood, metal or plastic. I suppose there could never be a tool bag that fit everyone’s needs perfectly, but I can’t imagine how the thing could be improved. Sadly, mine just got stolen and as much as losing tools I’ve acquired over the years hurt, losing the Veto was just as bad! I can’t go back to carrying tools around the old way because the Veto has spoiled me forever!

  34. kidbatz

best bag on the market. could
best bag on the market. could improve the framing square cover by putting it on a chain or rope or something. I tied a wire onto mine so it doesn’t get lost.

this is the best bag i have
this is the best bag i have owned!

  36. Chad

What can I say that isn’t
What can I say that isn’t already in the description. The bag was threaded by the hairs of Chuck Norris’s beard. Its toughness can only be matched by a 2 ton hydrogen bomb and even then it will show little sign of wear. The structural integrity of this bag defies the laws of science.

However for there to be Pros there has to be some Cons. I think Veto did a good job at having as few “cons” as possible and it really comes down to personal taste. Mine are…..

-full the bag is heavy, for the size they could probably get away with adding some wheels and a drag handle. Its hard to navigate through door ways without hitting anything

-it has a lot of pockets which is a plus but depending on which pockets you fill you won’t be able to use them all

That’s about it! Personally I wanted a smaller tool bag but this was the only closed top model that had a big empty compartment for power tools (drill, grinder, reciprocating saw). Id like to see that option with smaller bags. Also it would be nice if you could customize the inside tool pockets. Maybe a beefy velcro with different pocket options. Over all I LOVE this bag. I cuddled it for the 1st week of owning it

Purchased this bag and it it
Purchased this bag and it it great. The only reason not five stars is there are no pockets on the outside of the bag where you could put a couple of sharpies or pencils on the side. Grab the tape , grab the pad, grab the….what the….where is the pencil? Still a great bad and I like the velcro on the strap and not the clip like my Tech-XL.

I saw this bag in a local
I saw this bag in a local hardware store thought it was a little spendy, went home looked online and nothing out there even compared to how well it would function for how I needed to use it. Now that I have it, it goes every where I do that is why I call it my favorite man purse. It has been well worth the money and I would by another one in a second if I ever needed to. Very well made the customer service is fantastic I have had mine for over 5 years and the shoulder strap just broke, and my bag is heavy. Made a phone call to Veto and they had a new strap to me in no time.

Ok. Yes $225 for a bag holy
Ok. Yes $225 for a bag holy sh*t. I will say if you buy one you will consider another. It is not water proof or anything, but this thing is built to last for the long haul. The zippers, the materials, the handle, the pockets all great- no superior to any others I had had seen or considered. This is for the serious at heart. I know a bucket works fine, but if you want some organization to your madness, this or consider any other of their bags. This particular one you can load the crap out of it. It will weigh a ton and 3/4 , but the thing does not flinch and handles it perfectly.

I really wish veto would make
I really wish veto would make a series of nail bags dagnabit

  41. Ryrysuperslyguy

When I first started off as
When I first started off as an electrician I would buy every tool I saw that would make my job easier. Unfortunately I had more tools than I could hold in my ‘nail bags’. Well one day browsing online I happen to come across these guys when they first started out and bought this bad from Chadstoolbox.com and I became instantly professional overnight. I have spots for every electrical tool, low volt tool, all my power tools including my charger, saw zaw, drill, three batteries, 3 cases of bits, crescent wrenches, channel locks, all my main hand snips, meters EVERYTHING! Every thing you could possible every need electrician-wise. It weighs a ton if your a girly-man but if your me its super minor especially with the shoulder strap. When I get to a job I have the bag all put together and have my tool-less ‘nail bags’ through the grabber part of the veto bag than stage the veto bag in a spot on the ob than pull out whatever tools i need and put those into my ‘nailbags’. The bag is basically a mobile toolbox is the best way to describe its use. But when I show up to a job with that thing and expose my vast array of tools to the owner or workers on the job site they pee their pants because they know I know what the hell im doin just by looking at that thing. In fact I’ve been hired to electrical companies just by showing them my bag. The second I showed them my bag and opened it up, the bossmans would beg me to work for them. Beg me! Haha. Well anyway my bag is about 6 years old now or whatever and I need a new one because my zippers are wack now, but i’m gonna get another one real soon. Unless veto wants to sponsor me a new one ;).

  42. HVAC Installer

This bag has been great. Im
This bag has been great. Im now buying my 2nd xxl-f. The first one has now reached its lifes end. The zippers are not really working on the front any more and the bag bulgest towards the side that has all the tools. Its hard to get into the exterior pockets because its bulging. Even the handle is curved towards the side with the tools. A lil plastic in the A frame portion of the bag would vastly increase life.

That being said ill still give 5 stars. Whatever this bag lacked it was still the best bag ive had or seen. As an HVAC installer id have to do install work and service work. And the smaller bags didnt really carry enough for me. This bag was the one. It holds my 18v and 12v drill and all my hand tools.

Like i said it did degrade but ive had it for about 6 years now. And im buying another because it was 6 years of hard use. And i had this thing loaded down with tools. Everyone who ever picked it up would complain. With both my drills in it fully loaded it came to 61 lbs. So the thick padded strap comes in very handy.

Great bag. Its pricey but for me as long as it lasts for 5 years of daily hard abuse its good for me. I mean im setting it in the mud and sliding it around all over the place. I really abused this thing for years. So it definitely pays for itself. No question.

Also keeps your work area neat. Everyone i work with has tools scattered everywhere and im constantly reaching for tools without even looking into the bag. And able to put it back without looking too.

Anyway bottom line is dont let the price scare you away. AFter another 5-6 years ill probably be buying another one. (hopefully with slighlty better zippers maybe and a little plastic to rigidify the structure so the bag doesnt sag towards the tool side so much.) But if not ill still get another one. lol

This bag was my answer for
This bag was my answer for “how do i grab all the tools i need in a hurry?” i did a google search for best tool tote and veto pro pac was #1 on the un-sponsored list. after reviewing the details and reviews on amazon, i pulled the trigger.

woodworker, electrician, plumber, carpenter, hvac tech & “the guy with tools” are the hats I wear mostly.
on any given day, i am fixing a plumbing leak, making a custom dining table, or maybe even hanging chandeliers in a tree. our operation works between new jersey farm country and new york city so i need a tight, compact rig that can pack up in a moments notice.

this bag has given me the confidence to pull away from my shop knowing that i can tackle any problem or emergency with my tools. this bag has not only expanded my arsenal but reduced the footprint in client homes for more walking/ working surface area during an installation. now, my helpers don’t need to bring their own bags, we bring one that serves all.

finally a shoulder strap that HOLDS!!! first thing that always went on my old bags was the strap. the strap is such a key element of a tool bag especially in nyc when space is limited and time is of the essence.

I have left this bag out over night in the pouring rain with my hand tools inside and everything was dry the next morning. that said, i’ve only had one time out of thirty where my tools did have a slight amount of moisture on them and thats because the bag was submersed partially.

two things i would like to note is the safety glasses pouch. and the open pockets closest to the center.I found that my safety glasses are a bit larger for the pouch so i use the pouch for my headlamp and keep my safety glasses in a sunglasses case. as for the pockets, i first thought that my biggest tools should be in the back and smaller tools in the front, however i saw the larger tools putting added stress onto the zipper area and so i took my largest tools to the lower pockets.
bought my bag on april 2012 and its now september 2013

    Veto Pro Pack thankfully,
Veto Pro Pack thankfully, does honor their no downtime, 5 year warranty without hassle. Unfortunately, I had to replace my XXL-F four times due to zipper issues. Hey Veto… better zippers would make this tool bag a 5 star! I’m a 30 year service tech and these tool bags are the best I’ve seen on the market so far.
