Veto Pro Pac Tool Bags Product Care and Maintenance
Keep the Zippers Clean & Lubricated
Over time, dirt and grit will “clog” the zipper coils preventing them from staying closed. To keep this from happening, clean and lubricate your zippers twice a year (more often if you work on a job site with a high amount of airborne debris). To clean the coils: Scrub them with soapy water; a tooth brush works very well. After scrubbing the coils, blow them out with an air hose to dislodge any other fine grit that didn’t dislodge with the brush. To lubricate the coils: Apply a silicone spray, beeswax or a zipper lubricant.Protect the Zippers From Sharp Objects and/or Excessive Heat
Any sharp object or heat source is capable of permanently damaging the zippers. Once a zipper coil is cut or singed the zipper will not function and in most cases is not repairable. Most of the cut zipper coils we see are the result of sharp tools stored inside the bag with the sharp side facing up. Make sure to keep the sharp edges of your tools facing down in your bag and away from the zipper coils.Don’t Overstuff the Bag
Overstuffing your tool bag will very likely cause significant stress on the zippers that is above and beyond what the bag was built for and will eventually cause the zipper(s) to separate. If you have to work hard to close your zipper(s), your tool bag is most likely overstuffed… proceed with caution!Video & Product Sell Sheet

Apprentice plumber here.
1st gen OT-LC is a great all around bag for generalized trades. Any trade could benefit from it.
Seeing the modularity and trade specific designs of the TECH OT-LC for plumbers makes me a future customer for their products. Best there is. And I’m excited to one day have enough tools for a bag like the TECH XXL pack out (biggest bag they provide) to accommodate. VETO PRO should make an organizer bin for plumbers pex fittings! A Deep Organizer Hard case for your screws and pex fittings would be sold in under 2 seconds for this guy!

Awesome bag, heavy duty…went from a Klein 10” and just no comparison. No more digging for my tools. I own the TP4 for light go bag, and SB-LD for meters and electrical work.
Both my guys also made the jump to Veto bags and no complaints or looking back.

This is one of 3 Veto products I have purchased and I am again highly impressed. I am happy knowing that there is a manufacturer that makes True Heavy Duty tool bags and I will share far and wide in hopes that they stay in business for a long time.

OT-LC does exactly what it is supposed to do. Carries my tools in an organised way and it looks very professional. Very well designed for my needs and very well built for the abuse it is going to receive. My only gripe is the shoulder strap seems to always end up underneath the bag when I put it on the floor and gets dirty and then the dirt gets transferred to me when I pick the bag up again, I know some of these bags have the Velcro strap and dots to prevent this but the one I received didn’t. But still a great bag that I would highly recommend.

I have the OT-LC and the XXL-F. I’m a carpenter these are the best tool storage bags I’ve bought. The plus point is not loosing tools because they are always organised in vertical holders. With tool boxes I was always finding that tools were getting lost in the muddle.
My suggestion for improvements would be to include more external clips for tape measures, at least 2. I tend to use a variety of tape lengths and types; a larger 8m and an d amore compact 5m , dependant on my work. I’d love for both to be externally and easily available.
At present I have to keep one inside the bag. Also I tend sometimes to leave one on the job station and then need another to transfer a measurement, if one were always available on the bag this would help a lot.
Likewise with the external utility knife pocket. I would like more external pockets for several of these. I tend to have one set with a sharper cleaner blade- for sharp cut-outs of hinge recesses etc, then I tend to have one knife that I use for more rough cuts such as Damp-course, cement bags etc. If I had 2 or 3 external pockets for utility knives this would help also.
I also find the zippered pockets a little tight. Maybe if you were to include an extra , possibly detachable small parts pouch within the sales package? This would be useful for small drill bits etc. I know these are available to purchase separately, but cannot see it would add too much cost to include these within the purchase of the bag. It for me would be a good inducement.
Many thanks Robert Peacock.

This is a quality product, therefore commands a price to reflect this. As time goes on I wonder how I did without one. The tools are easily accessible and you can identify straight away if something is missing. It really shows have effective and quick you can carry out tasks instead of rummaging at the bottom of a box or bag for that tool you need.
The product is really robust and would appear to be going to last a lifetime of work. It’s only downside is, it is heavy but that’s the payoff of something so tough like an armoured truck. Well done for coming up with such a well made product. My only improvement would be to make the zippered pockets slightly bigger in order that you get get slightly bigger items in them, they need to bellow out in these instances.

I use the bag for a range of
I use the bag for a range of maintenance issues on a commercial property I own and self maintain, and its my primary tool storage place when the tools are home. The maintenance can hit on a wide range of trades and tools, so I carry a lot of basic tools, leave specialty stuff in the shop till needed.
In the front compartment I have most of my hand tools. Bladed and Phillips drivers in the left pockets, 4 sizes plus a shorty, and two insulated blade drivers, and a changeable small bit driver – 12 in all. Next to that I have my riveted pliers – Linesman, Diag cutter, small needle nose and small cutter. Next to that are my cobra pliers, 3 sizes plus one slip-lock. Next to that are two adjustable wrenches, and two vise-grip type pliers. The front also has a light hammer in the loop. The small pockets to the side have a drywall saw, a punch, an awl, and a countersink. Loose in the front is a bit storage box with a drill index and some 1” & 2” driver bits, a brush, and a 12” combo square.
The rear compartment in the pouches I have my electricians longnose/wire stripper/crimper pliers, 3 different size allen sets, and a pair of files and a medium size chisel. The loop has a torpedo level. The removable flat pockets have a spackle knife, couple of plastic spackle knives, some zip ties, and a small hacksaw. Loose in the back is both my drill-driver and impact driver (18v), and a pair of work gloves.
On the outside, one side with the two bigger pockets has a folding utility knife and a flashlight with a tape measure in the clip, the other size with small pockets has a sharpie, a few pencils, a stack of popsicle sticks, a couple of big tweezers, a telescoping magnet pick-up, and a roll of gaffers tape on the loop.
All this above is great – everything I need, no more, no less, and so much better than the bucket storage system I was using.
Here is what is not perfect. There are 4 zippered pockets, all too tight & too stiff to store anything useful in them. They need to billow out so you can fit bits or small parts – anything, but as they are they are so tight they are a pain to use. I have some nut driver bits stored in one of the center divider zippered pockets, and an ID tag in the rear side zippered pocket that is cabled to the loop adjacent.
The only other thing I’ve run into that is troublesome is that the inside of some of the pockets have a seam from the construction of the bag – its easy for an edge of a tool to hook on that seam and resist coming out of the pocket. Similarly the tops of the pockets are finished with a heavy tape which is nice and tough, but the inside edge of that tape often hooks on some part of a tool. Better if the top of the pocket just rolled over and was hemmed. When I say things get hooked I mean like the jaw area of a diagonal cutter, or the push button on a cobra pliers. So to summarize – heavy tough tape good, snagging tools bad.
Only other thing I would change is for the outside pockets on the ends, on at least one end I would make these pockets bigger, like the larger ones on the center panel, so I could actually fit something larger there, possibly nested in the same way.

This is the First Veto Pro
This is the First Veto Pro Pac Tool Bag that I have Bought. I do HVAC work in service.
I have had many tool Bags and Tool Box’s over the Years. This Bag is a little Pricey. Time will tell how it hold up.
So far I am very Happy with this Bag. One problem! I should have bought the OT-XL Bag. Just a little Bigger than the LC.
I like the way the Bag is Balanced when you carry it. Very Comfortable to Carry. Also I like the Molded Bottom. It protects the Bag if you are in a wet
Environment. Also the bag is very stable and not Tipsy. Very well Constructed. Time will tell how it holds up.
So Far I am Very Happy with this Bag. Great Job on Designing This bag. If all goes well I may need to buy the OT-XL for more room.
Thank You

I have had the OT-LC bag for
I have had the OT-LC bag for 3 years and now feel qualified to do a review. This is my first on-line review, I usually don’t bother but in this case I am so pleased that I have to say something.
I have been through several open top bags and regularly lost tools, The pockets were on the outside of the bag or on the inside of the outside (hope that makes sense) The bags never lasted long either.
With the Veto OT the tools are all away from the edge, secure and easy to get at. After 3 years the bag has a few scuffs but is otherwise like new, all other bags have been destroyed in that time.
If I were having a bag custom made I would change a few small details to suit my tools, but I guess a mass produced bag is designed to suit many people and many trades. The OT-LC is as close to perfect as I will ever get.
When I bought the bag I did find it difficult to justify the cost. I now know it will save me money, just because of the durability and not including the savings from not loosing tools. Even if it doesnt last, I would still buy another just because the design is spot on.
Five stars from me.
Just bought a Tech-MCT for my rarely used tools. First impressions are good but I will do a better review in 3 years – if I remember.

I attempted to use this bag
I attempted to use this bag for work, but it fell short. It is clumsy for carrying a few tools and I was afraid of them falling out, which I did have some regular size tools fall out. It doesn’t sit well on my shoulder and was always leaning front or back. This bag is not well thought out.

This bag is great! I do a lot
This bag is great! I do a lot of HVAC installs and this bag works great for carrying all those specialty tool that I only use when doing demo and new equipment installation!! Veto Pro Pac is THE BEST tool bags I’ve EVER had, and I’ve been through a lot of what I thought were good name brand bags…THEY WEREN’T. I had never heard of Veto Pro Pac when I bought this first bag but I could tell that it was a well built bag, it is the best bag out there hands down!

I have been using the OT-LC
I have been using the OT-LC for a couple of months now. Wanted to wait to do a review until I was confident in its overall proformance. I work for a telecommunications company doing installation and maintenance and travel to several different work environments a day. I might go from a multi million dollar home to a fleabag motel then to commercial location (hopefully leaving the fleas behind) and needed a bag to come with me.
The bag is durable, really durable. Lots of pocket tho some aren’t of use to me yet do to there small sizing for particular tools (nail punches). I like how the handle divides the bag an no matter what the load difference is the bag feels great to carry. On one side i carry a sidekick, exfo meter and a buttset with a couple of other small items. The otherside houses all my hand tools and small parts bag. I wanted the open top for easy access. I even put a tablet on the side with the handtools with the screen facing away ( it’s in a tough case).
Only complaint so far is the outter zippered pockets. Like others have said you can’t really get your hand in there. I need a place for wire connectors, screws, anchors etc.( the large pockets on the inside are hard to retrieve small parts and are better suited for tools or test leads) whereas those zippered pockets would be great if they expanded more. Overall very happy with the bag. Would definitely buy another perhaps the OT-XL for a little more room. I load mine up to the max on certain jobs. Bag carrys well with or without the strap.

I’ve only had the bag a few
I’ve only had the bag a few weeks but the durability is noticeably better than other bags. Accessibility is excellent. I received this particular model as a gift, but would have purchased something larger. I went from a 20″long bag to this(13.5″) and it fits about 3/4 of the tools that were in that bag. The only complaint I have is that the zippered pockets are too small and they don’t expand. You could fit plenty of small items (small wirenuts/screws/nail/nuts/washers etc.) but the opening is too small to make it convenient. Overall great bag.

Been using the AWP Open Tote
Been using the AWP Open Tote Tool Bags. Purchased one a year. Seen this bag at one of our customers store and purchased. Have not had the bag long enough to evaluate its longevity. It seams to be built much more sturdier than all other open top bags. One flaw I know of, the zipper compartments DO NOT expand. This is not good. This needs to be fixed. In about another 10-11 months, I will know if the bag is worth the money and can elaborate more on the bag then. The bag goes from the van to the customers floor 8-12 times a day and multiple times to the floor at each customers location so it takes a beating. For right now the bag is working well for me except for the flaw already noted.

This is a great tool bag.
This is a great tool bag. These are the strongest tool bags you will find on the market. Great bag for electrical technicians that have several different job sites in a day. Easy to carry and comfortable with plenty of storage space. You can also add the TP4 additional carry pouch for more room without make your bag too bulky if you have to climb with it.

This was my very first Veto.
This was my very first Veto. I used to purchase cheapo Husky tool bags every 6 months or so. I saw the Veto the first time about 5 years ago and laughed at the seemingly high price. Then a friend bought one and did nothing but rave about it. So finally I caved and reluctantly purchased the bag. It was, and is, the BEST tool bag I have ever owned. I have had this bag about 4 years, it still looks great despite my abuse. I loved it so much I have purchased 4 others since then and use each for a different task. Knowing what I know now…I’d pay easily pay double the current price for this bag if I had to, they are that damn good.
