"Time served at michelin as an electrical and mechanical engineer, I feel confident in tackling most jobs the building trade can throw at you”

I started out at 16 as an engineering apprentice at Michelin Tyres, learning both mechanical and electrical engineering, also learning both milling and turning and bench fitting skills as part of the apprenticeship. At 27 I decided I wanted to get away from factory work and went down the electrical contracting road, first taking my 16th edition BS7671 then the City and Guilds 2391 inspection and testing and went into partnership with a friend.
In 2016 me and my partner went separate ways and I’ve been running the business alone since. With my mechanical and electrical background I feel theres not much in the whole industry I can’t tackle myself and have taken on plumbing, joinery and various building tasks when renovating houses along the way.
