Description
The TECH-XL tool bag is a service technician version of the original Model XL tool bag.
A number of changes have been made to tailor the tool organizer to accommodate service technicians’ tools and work routines. The TECH-XL tool bag sports 80 pockets with ample pocket room for hand tools, parts boxes, meters, a cordless impact drill and other bulkier items. 9 small neoprene pockets have been added for drill bits and bit extensions.

Keep the Zippers Clean & Lubricated
Over time, dirt and grit will “clog” the zipper coils preventing them from staying closed. To keep this from happening, clean and lubricate your zippers twice a year (more often if you work on a job site with a high amount of airborne debris). To clean the coils: Scrub them with soapy water; a tooth brush works very well. After scrubbing the coils, blow them out with an air hose to dislodge any other fine grit that didn’t dislodge with the brush. To lubricate the coils: Apply a silicone spray, beeswax or a zipper lubricant.Protect the Zippers From Sharp Objects and/or Excessive Heat
Any sharp object or heat source is capable of permanently damaging the zippers. Once a zipper coil is cut or singed the zipper will not function and in most cases is not repairable. Most of the cut zipper coils we see are the result of sharp tools stored inside the bag with the sharp side facing up. Make sure to keep the sharp edges of your tools facing down in your bag and away from the zipper coils.Don’t Overstuff the Bag
Overstuffing your tool bag will very likely cause significant stress on the zippers that is above and beyond what the bag was built for and will eventually cause the zipper(s) to separate. I love this bag. It’s very sturdy in every way. The pockets are great and large enough for any tool. Nice outside pockets good for notebooks or other small items. Lots of rings on the outside for hooking things to tangle that you don’t need inside. Nice outside pockets perfect for a tick tester. Only thing is not enough room for a small parts tool bag (canvas bag) to fit. I also have to have my multi meter on the outside of the bag, however I kinda knew that going in and I’m okay with it now. I can’t get over this bag, the Klein one I had had horrible zippers, this one is super strong and sturdy. It would be worth it to buy a small dolly type thing to wheel it around it will probably get heavy.

I spent months looking at different tool bags.
Like many other people (I’m sure), I tried several different tool bags from the top named manufacturers, only to be disappointed. The bag zipper breaks, the bag rips or the bag just won’t stand upright and always falling over.
When I first came across the Veto bags, while I liked what I saw, I wasn’t so excited about the price. The price was the main reason I didn’t pull the trigger earlier and buy one of these bags. I couldn’t justify in my mind (based on the quality of the other big name brand bags) spending that much money on a bag that will probably disappoint.
Finally, I decided to take the big plunge and buy the XL-Service Tech bag. The quality of the bag is leaps and bounds above the other big name manufacture tool bags in the market. The material is thick and durable. The handle and zippers are beefy. The base of the bag is strong and sturdy, and the bag stands upright after setting it on the ground.
Wish I had stopped crying about the price earlier and just bought this bag.
Hand down, the best quality tool bag out there! You definitely get what you pay for with Veto.
I’m would even say that the quality of the bags exceeds the price they are asking for them.
If you are hesitant to buy a Veto bag due to the price… STOP IT! – You will quickly realize that Veto bags are worth every penny!
Stop wasting money on lower quality tool bags that just disappoint or fail after a few months and buy a Veto. -You’ll thank me later.

The construction and materials are of high quality.
My old toolbox was just that, a two-level hard toolbox. It was overflowing with tools and if I didn’t put my tools in just right, I couldn’t close the lid.
When I changed over to this tool bag, I found tools in my old toolbox that I had totally forgotten about because I couldn’t see them. (Almost purchased them again)
Now all my tools are organised, in sight and easily accessed.
This bag is a joy to use, I wish I had bought one sooner.

Greetings Veto, Roger and the team, about the Tech XL bag only good, I encourage and recommend the purchase of Veto bags, I have had many, many, many for years but they cannot be compared to the quality of Veto, I am very satisfied with the bag, it is over 80 pockets, they fit a lot of tools, if before I needed 2 or 3 bags now I can fit in the Tech XL, although it is big if I carry it on my shoulder it doesn’t seem so heavy when it is full, thank you Roger and the Veto team because we can he had the best bags at the moment, both as a guarantee and as useful in operation, health and growth in everything 👍👍👍🙏

Bought the Tech-XL: Amazing carry all tool bag! Built so rugged and tough and will definitely last a life time if you reasonably take care of it!! So much tool storage!👍👍Use it as your main carry bag to a job site and leave it in your vehicle and possibly downsize to a smaller pocket bag just for specific tools! If you need more tools; just go to your main Tech-XL base tool bag and get what you need! I’ve always ran other brands open-top bags thinking the closed top would be inconvenient for grabbing tools quickly, I was completely wrong. My first Veto bag but I couldn’t be happier with the quality and the layout. This bag is set up absolutely perfectly and it makes keeping my tools organized and easily accessible so easy. I have worked in the HVAC for 25 yrs. Over the years I have had many tool bags , buckets and boxes. I have 7 co workers that all have various veto bags. I was very reluctant to spend the money on a bag. After 2 years my current bucket organizer was about to fall apart. I did my research. I have always carried 2 buckets. I couldn’t imagine combining all my tools to one bag. I did plus I bought the TP4 B pouch. For small quick jobs. This combo works great for me. Here is the ironic thing, a new hire had the tech XL bag and I was able to inspect it. So the newbie that doesn’t know that much taught the 25 year veteran about VETO.

This is a great bag. I use it for commercial and residential hvac service. Holds everything I need on a daily basis for a wide variety of equipment. Had the tech lc for about 7 years which is still in good shape, I just wanted something a little bigger for ease of removing tools and storage of larger/taller tools. Holds all my hand tools, parts box, volt meter, and Milwaukee m12 and keeps it organized with ease and still has more storage available if I need it. Given the quality of these bags it’s worth the money. Keep in mind this Bag is heavy but with the shoulder strap and profile of the bag it sits comfortably. Nothing compares in terms of rugged quality and organization. At first I just filled it up with tools, marveling at the large storage capacity and tool accessibility. Well, I would have needed a forklift to move it around! I finally settled on my everyday set, which includes everything I need at a manageable weight. This bag is beautiful too. Take from an old retired nuclear tech, nothing out there compares. I will be back for a couple of smaller bags for my specialized sets.

This is the fourth bag that I have purchased. As always, the quality is the best. I also own a Tech MCT, a Tech OT, and a TP-5B. This bag, with 80 pockets, is the bag that “has my back”. I am able to store all of the items that I need but don’t use frequently. As with all of my other “Veto’s”, I proudly carry this bag onto a jobsite. When I get into a technically complicated troubleshooting job, I take this bag with me, knowing that I will have exactly the tool that I need. I won’t have to waste time searching for a particular tool, since this bag enables me to be very organized.

I love this bag. It is big and has some weight to it. My work area is 2.5 miles long. Work on boilers, compressors – sump pumps and everything in between. Had smaller bags but my tools were hard to get to. With this bag I have my standard tools but also room for any special tools needed for that job. It hangs well on my shoulder when climbing ladders also. I have had several bags this year looking for one that works best for me.
I also have the Veto meter bag which I keep my electrical gloves in. It hangs on the d-ring. Not my first veto bag. Will not be my last either.

Fantastic product, very well made and thought out, it has lots of pockets for screw drivers and is a very easy to use bag, etc etc, the only issue I had, was with a plug in socket tester. I use this device a lot, it plugs into a socket o heck polarity and helps o eat if the circuit is ‘dead’. There was no real space or room to put this tester in with ease, I’ve had to push I in to a corner to get it to fit.
It would be great, just to have a bit more space to one side to fit a socket tester.
The only other issue I have, is why is there only one side of the bag which has ‘poppers’ which holds the ‘bag flap’ in place, why not both sides???
Apart from these two issues it has been a great bag, I’m really please with he quality of the bag, I’ll definitely be using it for the next 5yrs.

Have been using this bag now for 6 years and really cannot fault it, stores a good range of hand tools, mainly screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutting and other cable terminating tools in front section and in the back bigger pockets, test meter, small parts box, bags of cable ties, small impact driver etc, main carrying strap buckle broke so contacted supplier who replaced it straight away, bag has lots of admirers but most wont spend the money, if you ask me it is money well spent, enjoy using this bag everyday, has quality written all over it, do yourself a favour and go by one, my advice, choose carefully from range and by bag best suited to your needs.

I have only had my Tech XL bag for about a month now, but so far this bag has been amazing. I am constantly, and pleasantly, surprised by how many tools you can fit into this bag. I am an electrical contractor and am always searching for quality products that last and that can make me more efficient. I had been keeping most of my hand tools stored in my tool belt, inside a tool box. When it came to performing service work inside people’s homes I would have to haul in the tool box, or dig out my belt from the box and carry that to the house. For a long time this frustrated me but I couldn’t find the right product to help. Enter the Tech XL bag. I replaced that large tool box with the Tech XL and I haven’t looked back. The majority of my hand tools are now all in one spot, organized better than ever, and are ready to be taken into any situation with ease. Now I can either take the tools from the XL bag and into my tool belt, or easily take the whole XL bag into the job and have everything at hand. The Tech XL capably handled all the tools I had in my pouch and all the storage trays inside the tool box. I love this bag! Excellent tool bag! Best design I’ve seen so far for efficient organization of tools. Plenty of room for the tools I need to carry. Total weight of my loadout is 40 lbs and is comfortably carried with the molded handle. My only gripe is that the shoulder strap is not long enough to carry the bag in a cross body / cross shoulder fashion to allow freeing both hands. Even for same side shoulder carry, it could be lengthened as I find the bag rides a bit high.

This bag is simply amazing. One guy in our company got one and then after everyone saw it and how well built it was, we all decided that we needed to get one because they are just that awesome. The amount of tools that you can fit in the tech xl is crazy. I fit all of my screwdrivers and nut drivers on the front of the bag as well as some miscellaneous stuff like levels, flashlights, parts bag with wing nuts, and some other things. On the other side of the bag I have all of my pliers. Being an electrician I have a bunch of pliers, crimpers and cuts for a bunch of different uses. In the back of the bag I also manage to get my Milwaukee m12 impact, spare m12 battery, bit case, and my fluke meter. That being said this bag can get pretty heavy so you have to be careful how you load the bag up and to not over fill it or else your back will fill it. The other thing that is amazing about this bag is how it displays your tools. With a quick glance in your bag you can grab the tool that you are looking for with ease because of the layout of the bags pockets. If you are an electrician or another tradesman who wants to have all of your tools organized and in one place so you don’t have to run back to the truck for small things then this is the bag for you.

Only had this bag for 1 month, along with the TB4B and the MB2. Still sorting out what to load it with and what to leave out. Love the access and being able to see everything, also it is stopping me leaving tools lying around to get knocked in the bilge as they all have found a home in the bag that allows easy access when you next need them. Got the XL as have a few longer tools that need the extra length but the trouble is with all the extra space you can load it up far too much. Currently weighing in at an uncomfortable 22kg (and still loads of room left), so lugging it on and off the ships is a pain but as I work mostly from the TB4B and the MB2 its not too bad and having everything to hand when doing a bigger job is great. Will update in a year to report if the bag can withstand a Saudi summer with the high heat and humidity (and the weight).

I am an electrician and gas engineer in the energy supplying industry in England.
I’ve find the bag perfect for my job. The bag has been a great investment.
Fits in all my tools very nicely, everything has its own spot which is handy for when I look for them. So many pockets and zips to store things. Can fit my 12V Milwaukee impact driver. Handle and strap takes it great, and sits straight up even with one side with all my hand tools weighing twice as heavy as the other with my meters and drill.

A great tool bag – built to last, so many pockets, I have found a home for every one of my tools in this bag! Certainly wouldn’t want a smaller version.
I’m an AV technician, and have accumulated a lot of hand tools, and bags of spares too, and although I have filled the bag, it is all very organised.
Only down side is that the bag does weigh a lot before you put anything in it – I knew it would as it can’t be constructed that well without being made of strong stuff – now its full it weighs nearly 20KG!
A great bit of kit, and well worth the money – it will last years….

For someone who is getting obsessed with tool tidiness this is perfect. Plenty of storage, good to carry both when using the shoulder strap or handle. This bag is absolutely fantastic. I transferred all of my line maintenance tools from my old metal tool box into this bag. Having the waterproof base and fabric is a real plus. I can’t tell you how many times I was caught working out in the rain or snow and water seeped in the bottom of my old box and all my tools at the bottom became wet and started to corrode. I highly recommend this bag to any tech that has to work outside in the elements. It will be the last tool bag you will ever need.

Purchased bag a few weeks ago after reading reviews and YouTube videos, decided to go for the Tech-XL. Looked about the right size bag for my job installation and commissioning engineer.
Love the bag the tool section is great, easily accessible vertical pockets. I only have one little issue is that the section for the test meters you have pockets directly behind them once you put a multimeter in can’t use them. So veto maybe make the front pocket slightly bigger. Part from that great bag will review in 6 months time see how I get on.

I do commercial HVAC for a
I do commercial HVAC for a living and the bag hold nearly everything I could ever need on the job site. It beats walking back to the truck for something silly. The major downside is the zippers are horrible for a 200 dollar bag, I have had it lest the. One year and the one side has completely failed and the other side hardly works at all but sometimes will zip closed. Why not use a steel zipper, it can’t be that much more instead of these plastic zippers. If this isn’t covered I will be even more upset. Other than that great bag.

I purchased the tech xl about 4 months ago, and am very satisfied with its performance. I service and repair escalators and this bags holds everything I need. I’ve worked with other mechanics who’s bags fall apart or don’t hold everything we need, and I’ve watched them make 2-3 trips back to the truck for tools we need (And working in SF having to walk a few blocks waste a lot of time). I’ve filled the bag up to almost max, and yes it will be heavy but if it saves me multiple trips to the truck its worth it in my opinion. BEST BAG BY FAR! Price is up there, but once you get it you’ll be happy you did.

Its a nice bag but 2 HUGE
Its a nice bag but 2 HUGE downfalls are #1 The bag ALWAYS ends up sitting on the shoulder strap so it constantly gets dirty which is very frustrating as I really try to keep my tools clean every time I put the bag down the shoulder strap ends up on the botton.#2 the NEOPRENE pockets that I assume are used for meters are constantly bending I have to pull my meter out several times to get it in without bending.I also use 12″Channel lock pliers that barely fit the zipper just closes.All in all its a good bag but I would change the design Im about ergonomics.

I am HVAC tech of 16 yrs. I have been through some bags in my time. This is the best bag I have ever had. Owned 2 yrs still like new. No other bag would last me that long. One of the best buys I ever made. Well worth the money!!! Stop reading reviews and just buy it lol.
