Additional Information

Veto Pro Pac Tool Bags Product Care and Maintenance

Keep the Zippers Clean & Lubricated

Over time, dirt and grit will “clog” the zipper coils preventing them from staying closed. To keep this from happening, clean and lubricate your zippers twice a year (more often if you work on a job site with a high amount of airborne debris). To clean the coils: Scrub them with soapy water; a tooth brush works very well. After scrubbing the coils, blow them out with an air hose to dislodge any other fine grit that didn’t dislodge with the brush. To lubricate the coils: Apply a silicone spray, beeswax or a zipper lubricant.

Protect the Zippers From Sharp Objects and/or Excessive Heat

Any sharp object or heat source is capable of permanently damaging the zippers. Once a zipper coil is cut or singed the zipper will not function and in most cases is not repairable. Most of the cut zipper coils we see are the result of sharp tools stored inside the bag with the sharp side facing up. Make sure to keep the sharp edges of your tools facing down in your bag and away from the zipper coils.

Don’t Overstuff the Bag

Overstuffing your tool bag will very likely cause significant stress on the zippers that is above and beyond what the bag was built for and will eventually cause the zipper(s) to separate. If you have to work hard to close your zipper(s), your tool bag is most likely overstuffed… proceed with caution!

The MB2 is a great bag. I am an electrician at a food manufacturing plant and I use this bag as a troubleshooting bag. I cary my meter, multiple screwdrivers, wire strippers, wire cutters, a few wrenches. Ive used my bag for 3 years so far and it has held up pretty well over all. Some Cons: The handle it comes with the spring clips wore out quickly and don’t stay on anymore. I used a shoulder strap I bought from Lowes to cary the bag (I wish it came with one). When I first got it I put an 8 in one screw driver in the side pocket and it wore through the bottom pretty quickly.

Overall Its a great bag and I would recommend it.

Bag has been quite the edition to my Veto collection. Also own the HVAC Tech Pro backpack. This bag serves as a go to for diagnosis and common repair items. I would give it 4.5 stars, but that isn’t an option. Only thing I would change is adding a shoulder strap (got one now) and making the lower small pocket just a hair deeper or more flexible material as well as making the side pockets more flexible. But then again, when I get a bag/pack, I tend to want to over stuff it beyond design intentions. Love the Veto packs!

Best bag for troubleshooting hands down! I’ve had many different bags and this one was the best by far. I can also do lots of repairs with just this bag. I even purchased back pack straps so it’s easy to carry with me when climbing roofs. Definitely worth the money!

Great bag! I can diagnose and repair 90% of my calls with what fits in here. Simple and straightforward design while tough enough to handle everyday use. Obtained a warranty replacement after some zipper trouble and it was worth every penny. I plan to buy another larger bag next to carry a tablet and more diagnostic tools.

I love it! I purchased this mainly for roof top hvac maintenance and troubleshooting. Holds my meter and basic hand tools well, no more stuffing my pockets or having to drag my main tool bag up a ladder for simple tasks.
Add a shoulder strap and it becomes even better!

Can’t say enough about the quality of the Veto products. The price you pay is nothing when you can tell how long they will last!

This is my third Veto bag and I used it mainly to carry my fieldpiece wireless job link probe setup and hand tools. It’s for smaller jobs/pms and it definitely serves its purpose. I’m happy with my purchase and definitely look forward to adding more bags to my arsenal LOL!

I am a Hvac technician and was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I have been carrying Veto bags for years. My service bag was a Tech-MC and finally pulled the trigger on a backpack but unfortunately was unable to use it do to my health issues. My tool bags have become difficult to lug around so I decided to give the MB2 a try. This bag has physically helped me so much. I put my Tech MC strap on it and has cut down my weight considerably. In this field we seem to fall apart and this bag is easier on the body. If your dealing with joint issues this is a solid solution for transporting your tools.

I started using my MB2 for a Panduit wire labeler and cartridges, wire markers etc. I have since found this bag to be more useful than I originally thought. I have used it also as a small 12v drill and impact storage and carry bag to the job sites and it fits all my bits and accessories perfectly. The batteries even fit in the side pockets. Great little bag and just as rugged as all the Veto bags. This is my 4th Veto Pro bag and I may have to continue getting others as I find good uses for them.

To get a 5 star review from me is nearly impossible so let’s just say 4 is really really amazing, just not perfect. Great bag outstanding product. If this bag lasts you 5 years and not 10 or 20 years you are seriously misusing it. I have been in multiple fields and industries over 20 years and having the right gear is what makes a real tech versus a 9-5’er. For all you techs out their crushing it this is the bag for you. Everything is perfect, the pockets, the spacing, everything.. Well almost everything but not enough to not get this bag. Handle at the top and D rings are awesome quality and we’ll thought out. HVAC, IT GUYS, ELECTRICIANS, CONTRACTORS, PLUMBERS, etc.. Anyone can find this bag useful I promise. Call me up if you don’t I’ll buy it off you.

As glennhvacman – March 9, 2016 said, the clip location needs a re-work. Think of your layout like a space shuttle, it’s all one big piece and then separates into two or more when it reaches a certain distance. You have your main bag for everything you COULD possibly need, this should be able to attach for the trip to the site and detach when you arrive at the site for everything you SHOULD need. Perhaps there is another main bag it was meant for? Even when you don’t overload it space wise, good tools are heavy and the clip does not work well even on a conceal carry belt. Shoulder strap is a must. I feel the mb2 shortie will not have as much of a problem however I am not in the testing program yet unfortunately so I can’t tell for sure.

I intend to purchase the TECH PAC LT (THE 15″ LAPTOP VERSION) and deal with the clip problem as it comes. The D rings can solve the problem for you if you get creative, afterall you should be a tech haha.

Great bag. Is exactly what I was looking for in function, durability, style and warranty.

Fits my Fieldpiece SC77 with enough room for extras like my gloves, headlamp, wiring nuts and stubby 1/4-5/16 driver. The internal pouch adds storage for my RTC2 probe tip set, zip ties and others. Outside pouches store various tools I need to diagnose and make electrical repairs without lugging my large mouth tote. It’s a solid bad that not only looks professional – it is.

I’ve been using the MB2 for a troubleshooting bag, for about a month now. Love the size of the bag for what I use it for. Not sure if it’s the way I have it loaded, but I am having trouble getting it to stand up, and not fall over. I wish it had a hard bottom like the TEC MCT, I have for my main bag. But again I am satisfied with my purchase.

Picked up the MB2 for a troubleshooting bag to compliment the Tec MCT. It works great for this with the exception of not standing up, and falling over a lot. I think a good improvement would be to add a solid bottom like on the Tec MCT. Also as listed in another review, the clip should be lowered on the back where it could clip on the tape clip on the Tec MCT. Or raise the tape clip on the Tec MCT. It is a well built bag. Would highly recommend this product.

The MB2 is perfect, it holds my fluke, my service tool, and a few hand tools. Its just big enough to hold the essentials without getting too heavy. I do wish it had small slots for screwdrivers on the outside and in the larger velcro pocket though.

I love the bag. I work on commercial HVAC equipment, I use it for taking the basic tools, meter on the roof to trouble shoot. I am surprised how many tools it holds. I have almost all the basics in it to trouble shoot.

Couple things I wish were different –

    1. Wish it had a shoulder strap, (i use one from a old bag)
    2. The front flap material ripped on me, wish it was a different material, more durable.
    3. Wish the front “smaller pocket” was about a 1/2 deeper, to hold some small wrenches I carry.

Coming up on one year with
Coming up on one year with this bag. Bought it primarily to house my Fluke T5 along with a few hand tools and stuff. Well, I’m up to 11 pounds and I carry it everywhere without fear of dropping stuff out. Used the OEM Fluke bag until it fell apart but it had been too small anyway. I clamber around on catwalks, ladders, and conveyor belts and needed a zippered case that takes abuse. The hand strap is ok for hanging it when working, but I rigged up a shoulder strap using tubular webbing, shock cord, a pad, and riv nuts with clips. Keeps the bag snug in my armpit and doesn’t hang loose like a normal strap. Last month, a piece of fabric started tearing apart inside the case (no big deal)and I contacted Veto for the Zero Down Time Warranty. Ben Daily worked with me and I ended up with a new bag! No hassles and quick service. Best $65 I ever spent!

Good: The bottom is rubberized canvas. Carrying handle is comfortable.

Improvements: The bottom of side pockets could be better reinforced. I jammed vinyl gloves down them so pliers stop wearing thru. The main flap could have a credit card pocket sewn on the outside, maybe see-thru plastic?

    I’m an HVAC Technician, and
I’m an HVAC Technician, and this is the 5th different bag I’ve bought from VETO.

I bought this bag as an add on to my Tech Pack, for when I only need some basic tools. I had the MB a few years ago, and the larger size of the MB2 is just what I needed. Plenty of room for some basic hand tools and meters.

    Only 2 things I didn’t like is:

    1. It doesn’t come with a shoulder strap, which I had to buy separately, and I had to search for a vendor that sells one as VETO wouldn’t sell it on their website. I do a lot of walking and climbing up ladders, so a shoulder strap is essential

    2. The clip on the back is too low. When I clip the MB2 on the tape measure clip, the bag hangs too low and gets knocked off the tape measure clip very easily. I had to clip the MB2 on a small D ring on the Tech Pack, and now the MB2 swings around a lot.
