Additional Information

Veto Pro Pac Tool Bags Product Care and Maintenance

Keep the Zippers Clean & Lubricated

Over time, dirt and grit will “clog” the zipper coils preventing them from staying closed. To keep this from happening, clean and lubricate your zippers twice a year (more often if you work on a job site with a high amount of airborne debris). To clean the coils: Scrub them with soapy water; a tooth brush works very well. After scrubbing the coils, blow them out with an air hose to dislodge any other fine grit that didn’t dislodge with the brush. To lubricate the coils: Apply a silicone spray, beeswax or a zipper lubricant.

Protect the Zippers From Sharp Objects and/or Excessive Heat

Any sharp object or heat source is capable of permanently damaging the zippers. Once a zipper coil is cut or singed the zipper will not function and in most cases is not repairable. Most of the cut zipper coils we see are the result of sharp tools stored inside the bag with the sharp side facing up. Make sure to keep the sharp edges of your tools facing down in your bag and away from the zipper coils.

Don’t Overstuff the Bag

Overstuffing your tool bag will very likely cause significant stress on the zippers that is above and beyond what the bag was built for and will eventually cause the zipper(s) to separate. If you have to work hard to close your zipper(s), your tool bag is most likely overstuffed…proceed with caution!

This bag is perfect for my grab and go tool kit for my diy needs. No more running back and forth to my tool bench for the forgotten tool. This bag is also well made and durable. This is my first Veto purchase, but won’t be my last! Buy with confidence from a great company.

Love the bag, Service Plumber by trade. Keep my main tools in the Tech OT-MC and I have this bag in the cab to carry in with me on every job. If it’s standard service work that needs to be done I rarely have to go back out to the truck for my main bag. Can fit a lot more than you think into this bag.

Great size for just enough tools and my meter to complete my Liebert startups. The base is waterproof and holds the bag upright while off my hip.
Yes, that is my VETO BAG ……it is the best bag on the market ……you should get one also!

Great pouch. I’ve had the TP3 for years and still in great shape just need a little more room for a few more tools. This bag fits everything I need for Industrial HVAC maintenance and repair. Was a little skeptical of it standing up loaded but with the hard bottom it not only stands but keeps dry also. GREAT JOB VETO WITH THIS POUCH!

Will definitely be buying more from this company

Great product. Highly recommend. Medium size tool pouch that fits all my necessary tools at hand. Great material. Able to stand up with hard bottom. Purchased the strap which makes it easier to carry around. The best part is it comes with a 5 year warranty.

Overall very satisfied with the TP4B after two weeks (Union Electrician – inside wireman/construction). Enough pockets for everyday items (screwdrivers, linemans, knipex pliars, nut driver, reamer, two speed wrenches, and a few other things). Front pouch can hold a Fluke 17x/7x series, but I threw a T6-600 in it to take up less room. Would be nice if the front pocket had a divider (60/40) that could protect the leads of a T5/T6 or Wiggy style meter and still have room for another tool. (The front pocket isn’t going to hold a larger 87 or 8X Fluke DMM)

Belt clip really isn’t for belts IMHO. However, I clip it on the side of the lift when I’m working at heights and it seems to keep it upright.

Front pouch (under the tape measure clip) will hold a few driver bits, extra utility knife, lock/key, etc. Hard plastic bottom keeps things dry and helps keep it upright.

Like the handle, simple. Can ty wrap it in a snorkel lift and feel like it won’t break/spill.

    Suggestions
    – a few more pencil holders on the side of the pouch
    – divider in the front pocket
-maybe skip the holders for bits in the pouch. It’s pretty crowded in there.

An amazing pouch for electricians, enough pockets to hold everything you’ll need and more can not recommend this enough, the only thing I would change is for there to be an included tape chain rather than the clip on loop, more of a personal preference.

This is, by far, one of the nicest tool pouches I’ve ever owned. Very well made. It should last me well past retirement. The small footprint makes it easy to get into tight areas. I’m able to carry all the essential tools I need to do my job.
I work as a Maintenance Electrician.

This pouch is close to being perfect for industrial maintenance electricians. The TP5B might be even closer to perfection but it was released after I purchased my TP4B.

The biggest complaint I have with this bag is the fabric that is sewn around the D rings. I use a shoulder strap not the included carrying handle.

From the start, one of the d rings has spun around in the fabric. It puts more pressure on one side of the fabric and has started wearing through quite badly.

Other than that one issue the bag has held up quite well. I work in a sawmill which can be quite oily and dusty. The plastic base prevents the fabric from getting too dirty and keeps my tools from spilling all over.

This pouch has a variety of pockets that allow me to carry the tools I need to get through the majority of trouble calls. The Velcro pouch in the front is a very nice feature and very strong.

I find the belt clip to be almost useless. This pouch is too big to wear on my hip. The only time I’ve used the clip is when climbing ladders. For the most part the clip just snags on my coveralls.

Overall I am happy with the veto bag but it still leaves something to be desired for my particular use. I think the perfect bag would fall somewhere in between the TP5B and the TPXL.

Take the TP5B and ditch the belt clip, include a should strap, and maybe add more deep pockets on the outside. That would be a perfect maintenance bag.

For the price I wish the material around the d rings was stronger but overall I have been very happy with my TP4B. And it has helped me quickly fix many issues at the sawmill.

This bag is great awesome handle. A clip on the back so that I can clip it on a scissor lift front pouch has slots for drill bits to help keep them organized. Can hold a lot more tools than my old clc bag. Flat hard base stands straight up only pouch better would be the tp5b.

Best medium tool pouch I’ve ever owned! Very rugged and expect many years of service. Holds everything I need! Belt clip is useless if it’s loaded, like mine. Shoulder strap works great though. That should be included, but is extra. Would load of pic of mine, but won’t allow it here. All that said, still a A+++++ tool pouch!!

This tool pouch is the best I’ve used yet. I’m a Contracting/maintenance electrician and usually have a belt with some hand tools in. I’ve bought loads of belts, tool bags etc in the past and for one reason or another, end up being pretty useless, and get given away. This holds more than enough I need for call outs. It holds plenty of screwdrivers, torque screwdriver set, pliers, side cutters, voltage tester and proving unit, tape measure, coils of pvc insulation tape, connectors, and more. It stands on its base, and doesn’t flop down like the belt, and if I do need it at heights, I hook it onto my pants. It’s quality, and looks tough. Hopefully will last a long time. Also looks very professional. I researched veto pro quite a bit to see which would suit me the best, as there are quite a few, and veto pro are very helpful and get all my emails were answered very quickly. Can’t praise this bag enough!

This bag is awesome I had a good bag before this but this is a great bag pricey but I can fit a lot more tools in it love the clip in the front I clip my pocket level on it. I love how you can store bits in the front slots love the quality of this bag so much I bought the blaze orange back back the filling week and of course far superior to my other back pack

I have mine clipped to my tape measure clip on the side of my Hi Visibility Yellow back pack. I love it! Leaves an alternative for not having to get inside the zippered portion of my back pack for rapid easy access to your most used hand tools.

Never has a product brand better exemplified the statement “You get what you pay for!” than Veto Pro Pac, and this open tool pouch is definitely no exception! As an HVAC professional, I grab this pouch as my initial diagnostic and/or routine maintenance ‘kit’ when first showing up to a call for service… saves me time and a back-ache by holding just enough of the right tools to get the basic jobs done, and it is sturdy enough to probably outlast many of the tools themselves (and I only buy good quality tools!). As expensive as these bags are, you will never regret making the purchase… in fact, you may even think you didn’t pay enough!! ((The only thing I would change is to add a short shoulder strap – definitely not a deal-breaker, though!))

just dont understand why a shoulder strap is sold seperate, so i bought the strap an 2 days later the rivits started poping out im sure they will send me a new one if i fill out the paperwork. Uncle veto is good like that.

I install and service laundry equipment for a living..Bought the tech ot-mc and this came with it..super happy it did because I now have the ultimate set up..The tech ot-mc is set up as my installation bag and this one set up for service..I uesd the belt clip on this one and the tape clip on the tech ot-mc to connect the two together..I like to my installation and service tools with me in the same bag..I never know if I’m doing service or an install or both so having my tools with me is a must..I was going threw bags like crazy do to the weight..now I have the option to take the bare necessities on a small service call while still keeping the rest of my tools at the ready..I’m really impressed with the quality of both bags..and believe they will stand up to what I throw at them

The TP4B tool pouch is not only the perfect size but it’s very well designed and built to last. Dispite it’s size, this pouch holds a lot of tools and keeps them well organized.
Tools are easy to locate and right at your fingertips for efficient service call needs. The plastic base is great! It keeps the pouch standing sturdily in an upright position while working. It also allows you to place the bag down on a wet surface without subjecting your tools and the material of the pouch to unknown contaminants. This is a Great Tool Pouch! Thanks VETO for providing an awesome product that is both functional and built to last.

Love this pouch. It holds everything I need to complete a solar install with ease. I love how it will stand up on its own, with the rugged bottom. You also have the option to hang it up, or clip it to a belt, or run a belt through the loop. It seems to be top quality, just like you would expect from Veto. I have had so many problems wearing out tool bags and pouches in under a year. I know that this pouch is going to last, and if I have an issue, I know Veto will handle it, with that unbelievable 5 year no down time warranty. I will always use Veto products as long as I’m in the trade. If you are looking for a dependable tool pouch that will hold your basics and then some, look no further. The TP4B is what you need!

I’m an electrician, not an HVAC guy, but I still like this bag. Had the original TP4 for a while, used it for a while, and liked it. Like many others though, I got sick of having it fall over every time I set it down. I also tend to work outside quite a bit, and didn’t like having to set the bag down in snow or water without something protecting the bottom. Enter the TP4-B, which solves all of those problems.

Only trouble is, when they made the TP4-B, they didn’t just add a plastic bottom to the existing bag. The main four tool loops in the back are all physically larger and deeper than on the original bag, the front covered pocket is now deeper and seems to be slightly wider as well, the side pockets towards the middle of the pouch are larger, and have extra pockets on the pockets compared to the original bag, and the area just behind the covered pocket is far, far deeper than on the original pouch.

Now, none of those things are necessarily bad, they’re just different from how the original TP4 was built. The only thing that bothers me personally is the area just behind the covered front pocket being so deep. There’s actually a space under there, which runs under the other part of the pouch. I used to keep a reamer, small pipe cutter and outlet tester in that area, but with the new bag, those small tools will now disappear into the abyss under the rest of the pouch, and it becomes a massive PITA to get them out.

If you’re switching from the TP4 to the TP4-B, expect to spend some time setting up the new bag. It’s not really the same as the old bag, and in my experience at least, nothing really fit properly in the new bag compared to the original, so I had to change my setup completely.

While the original TP4 could be used on a standard tool belt, which I did for a while before turning it into a dedicated bag, the TP4-B seems to be designed primarily as a stand-alone tool carrier. It’s taller, wider and heavier than the original TP4, and seems to have more nuanced storage abilities than the original bag. The TP4-B is more the kind of bag you want to look at, and then select your tool, as compared to the original TP4, which if you used it long enough, you could just grab and go without looking.

If you do need to carry small tools, like I do, consider jamming them into the belt loop. Since this bag is too big to be worn on a belt (in my opinion at least), the loop is really just extra storage. I managed to get my plug tester, reamer and pipe cutter all in there without too much trouble, and now I don’t have to try fishing them out of the bottom of the bag when I need them.

All in all, this is still a really nice tool carrier, even if it is more “tote” than “pouch” now. Compared to my original TP4, I was able to fit 6 more screwdrivers, two more rolls of tape and a headlamp in this, without making everything super jammed together. Everything fits just snug, so when it falls over now, I’ll only lose a couple tools instead of all of them.

Oh, and yes, there’s a spot for a tape measure now. If you have a full size tape though, don’t plan on using it – it makes the bag front heavy, and makes it want to fall over. With the tape on the front, even the slightest nudge will make it fall over, just like the original TP4.

Now all they need to do is make the plastic base go all the way under the front covered pocket and they just might have a bag that legitimately doesn’t fall over….

Awesome pouch. The cost is more upfront but not many bags have a 5 year warranty. I have my TP4B loaded to the brim and still have more room. Very durable construction. Would recommend to anyone in the trades. Only downfall is you have to buy a shoulder strap separate.

    Another fine product from Veto!
I already own the Veto Tec Pac Backpack, which is great for large jobs.
But, sometimes when you get a service call, you know the big bag is overkill.

This is where the TP4B comes in handy. This tool pouch will hold the basics.
    In my TP4B I carry:
    4 Husky Nut Drivers
    8″ Pliers
    Scissors
    7″ Pump Pliers
7/16 Socket with 1/4 socket wrench
    11 in 1 screwdriver
    Vice Grip
    Putty Scraper
    Large Adjustable
    Small Adjustable
    Zip Tie
    Zip Tie Gun
    Mini Screwdriver
    4 Wrenches with ratcheting heads
    Brass Brush
    Stainless Brush
    Hot Stick
    Tread Tape
    Electric Tape
    Test Strip Rolls (x2)
    Drill Bits
(carry drill on hip when needed)
That is 20 tools with accessories !

TP4B Bag stands upright (and dry) due to hard bottom.
Easy to hang, just un-clip handle and re-clip around something close.
Or, wear it cross draw (chewbacca style) and have all you tools at the ready.

Wish it came with shoulder strap, but I took strap off inferior tool pouch and it works pretty good (just does not match)

Veto – the best and last tool bag/pouch you will buy.
Big box store brands do not even come close.
It only costs a penny more to go first class!

Having a smaller bag to grab with just the essential tools to perform smaller maintenance task is a godsend. The TP4B is a superb product and the build quality is amazing, I can see why they offer a 5 year warranty. It takes a while to find the perfect layout but once you have cracked it all tools are easily available. The labour also helps to make sure all tools are back onboard before leaving site. The price tag did make me doubt my choice but after using for a week I have no doubts and have since ordered more Veto products. My only modification would be to make the base slightly larger to avoid tip-overs.

This is the pouch I have been waiting for!

As a data tech, I was making good use of the TP3, but needed something just a bit bigger to bring in with me on jobs. I looked at the TP4, but was worried the pouch would tip loaded up. Then I found the TP-4B – the rigid bottom is perfect – easy to keep clean, stands upright with no issues and easy to keep with me at all times. This was worth every penny and I highly recommend it!

This is a great bag. There is a few things that seem to be a little bit of an issue. 1. The description says it has room for a multimeter but I don’t know where it fits. Even the picture doesn’t show a meter in it. So I clipped it to the side. 2. The base should be a little bit bigger as it tips over quite often. 3. This pouch should have a shoulder strap as well as the handle. Still, this is a great bag. Great quality.
