Keep the Zippers Clean & Lubricated
Over time, dirt and grit will “clog” the zipper coils preventing them from staying closed. To keep this from happening, clean and lubricate your zippers twice a year (more often if you work on a job site with a high amount of airborne debris). To clean the coils: Scrub them with soapy water; a tooth brush works very well. After scrubbing the coils, blow them out with an air hose to dislodge any other fine grit that didn’t dislodge with the brush. To lubricate the coils: Apply a silicone spray, beeswax or a zipper lubricant.Protect the Zippers From Sharp Objects and/or Excessive Heat
Any sharp object or heat source is capable of permanently damaging the zippers. Once a zipper coil is cut or singed the zipper will not function and in most cases is not repairable. Most of the cut zipper coils we see are the result of sharp tools stored inside the bag with the sharp side facing up. Make sure to keep the sharp edges of your tools facing down in your bag and away from the zipper coils.Don’t Overstuff the Bag
Overstuffing your tool bag will very likely cause significant stress on the zippers that is above and beyond what the bag was built for and will eventually cause the zipper(s) to separate. I’m an inside wireman apprentice and switched to this bag and LOVE IT. So many pockets and compartments. I love the v-swap pieces since I’m sure my tools will change as my jobsites do, will likely buy more for more variety. This bag makes accessing tools so quick and easy and even with tools in it it’s easy to tote around or store on carts.

As DIY homeowner, former contractor and former auto mechanic I have a lot of tool storage units from large rolling chests to stackables to tool belts. But the problem for around the home and for friend/family fixes is having to collect the needed tools for each job and then putting them away in their various locations. This OT-LC is absolutely perfect for filling the niche for around the home and an excuse to buy new tools. This allows me to retain those traditional storage locations for specialized / large projects and at the same time not take away from those tool locations tools i need on a daily basis for more mobile / repetitive / and short tasks. I am using mine for light duty electrical/plumbing/carpentry/finish work. The only thing i would add is the ability to snap on a plastic shroud over tool box for messy/dusty/wet work but keeping a folded 24×24 plastic sheet in the side pocket works good enough.

The perfect tool bag does exist!! I have probably bought 20 tools bags in my career and this one is KING. Build quality and the open center is perfect. The addition of the V-SWAP panels is just the icing on the cake. I bought a second one as a back up, use it as a testing bag to hold all my meters, megers and data/ cat 6 tools.

I love my tech OT_LC. I first came in contact with veto through the student program. When I got my refurbished bag I knew I would have to save up for another. The quality and organization of these bags is incomparable. I wanted an open top bag where I can put my bigger tools and some of my extras. I have smaller hammer smaller pipe wrench chisels screwdriver and other tools. Definitely got the right bag for the job.

As an electrician I love the tech otlc bag, not had any use for the insert box or dividers, I keep the middle section open for a drill and driver. superb quality and I can keep all my hand tools readily at hand. Seriously impressed.

I was already aware of the quality of veto bags as my father/boss has had one for years. The only downside of the bag he had was that the zippers ended up splitting after so much use. I’ve always used open top bags myself, so I knew what I was looking for, but the quality of the v-swap pannels exceeded my expectations. I had been interested in this particular model since I saw it for preorder, and I’m glad I waited to get it with the spring promotion. The tp6b addition to my order for free was welcomed and I find myself using it just as much as the larger bag.

90%love this bag. I have the backpack, and open gardeners type bag. All so very well built. But I have stayed away from the tool bag because of the wonky handles. The OTLC takes a small step towards correcting the problem with a softer handle. If it was only on a swivel on the d ring so it could rest towards the back of the bag so I could have unobstructed access to my tools while working. That’d be 100%

I was lugging around a larger tool tote that was red in color and snapped into the rest of my boxes. The problem was that I was carrying around a 50 pound bag and it got exhausting. I chose to downsize to this bag and it is absolutely perfect, I had to give up my hammer drill and some large drill bit cases but was able to keep everything else. The handle on this bag is great and I feel like I’ve finally reached peak efficiency with my tool storage setup, which I thought was a pipe dream!

Best toolbag put there! I have been using open top bags for quite a few years now. Usually they have a big opening in the center of the bag with pockets on the side (not many pockets) so it becomes a catchall when i get in a hurry packing up after a job. I purchased the v swap panel for the open side so every tool i carry in my bag has a hole for it. And if theres a open hole then i know i am missing a tool. I do a lot of service calls so forgetting a tool can be easy to do. Also when i need a tool i can go right to in seconds without having to even lool for it

Excellent bag. Using it for my joinery site bag. I’ve been using this bag for 3weeks now. Perfect size for all tools. Insert box is good place to store blockplane. Center column fits chisel roll and spade bits. Taken one side out for hammer, coping saw, flat bar and hacksaw storage. Other side fits every other tool I need for rip out jobs and 2nd fix joinery. Had heard of Veto bags a few years ago and recently was in the market to upgrade my previous tool tote. I’m glad I made the OT-LC purchase. Yes, everything including the kitchen sink fits and admittedly, I’ve probably re-organized the bag at least three times. It’s also a good time to do a forensic analysis about what one keeps in the carrier. (See kitchen sink comment)
Will be nicer once the pockets loosen up a bit. Adding a D-Ring to the open side of a longer/wider zippered front pouch would be a benefit as well.

Excellent bag has enough room to carry everything you need at a reasonable weight with or without the shoulder strap. The only con I’ve found and it’s more of a personal issue is the smaller exterior pockets are a bit to small for smaller tools but still to deep to hold bits of an odd size. Overall love the bag

I bought this bag through Acme tools and it’s a nice bag for certain applications. I’m a plumber and struggle to find a good open top tool bag/box. They are all geared towards electricians or hvac. A couple of issues. First, there’s just too many pockets jammed in the 15 pocket panel. Once it is full of tools, it is hard to get them in and out (especially the larger pockets on the front). Second and this is my biggest issue with veto bags, there’s no place for a hammer. Veto, spend some quality time with plumbers and seek their feedback. If you can make a great bag for plumbers, you’ll sell alot of them. All your bags are definently for electricians or hvac techs and plumbers seem to be an after thought. I will say veto bags have the best quality though and will last a long time.

A part of me went missing when my OT-MC grew legs and jumped out of my vans window over the weekend six months ago, I guess it wanted to join a life of free roaming drugs and dishonesty. I have tried many tool bags over the years and for what ever reason that one was my favorite due to the visual controls, organization, and size, though it could have been a little bigger. Than one day, I got this email from Veto Pro presenting to me the potential for a new love in my life, the Tech OT-LC. It had all the features and MORE from my long lost free roaming Ex-MC. So, I mustered some courage from what remained of my broken heart and made the online order. It has only been a few weeks in our relationship but OT-LC has lovingly accepted my baggage with room to spare. The organization for chores is improved, The visual controls more appealing, and design sweet to the eye. Parts of me are now glad the MC hit the open road for I would now be concerned who I would stay faithful to. Sometimes “Life” happens for a reason, Some bags I will never understand and I hope they get the help or forced intervention they deserve, but for this new love of mine; we will cherish every day we have together until, heaven forbid, Death or Theft we do depart.

I recently purchased the OT-LC bag and I have to say, it is the best bag I’ve owned to date. It is rugged and feels great to pick up and carry. The solid plastic bottom is excellent as well. It slides into my truck nicely, feels very solid, and is easy to move around. The v-swap option for swapping out various tools for different jobs during the week is an excellent idea also. I though the bags were pricey at first, but after finally ordering one, I could see how superior the stitching, build quality and overall ruggedness of the bag really is. I used to go through big box brand bags in less than 2 years. After using this bag for awhile now, I have complete confidence it will outlast anything else on the market, especially after they slap on a 5 year warranty! Highly recommended!
