Veto’s Tech Pac backpack tool bag is designed specifically for professional tradesmen who need to climb ladders or walk long distances on a daily basis. Our Hi-Viz Yellow version features High Visibility and Water Repellant Fabric, YKK Locking Zippers, a Magnetic Screw Catcher, Metal Shoulder Strap Sliding Buckles, Light Gray Interior Pockets for Better Visibility, Redesigned Front Top Pockets for Better Tool Storage and a Redesigned Stainless Steel Tape Clip Holder.
Designed to enable the safe and comfortable transport of a variety of tools when servicing equipment accessible by extension or cage ladders, or in cities or industrial buildings where walking long distances is required, the Tech Pac features Veto Pro Pac’s patented center panel, heavy duty construction and stabilizing injection molded waterproof base that keeps tools dry, even in the nastiest of conditions.
With 46 pockets inside and out, the Tech Pac has ample room for hand tools, meters, parts boxes, cordless drills and impact drivers, as well as other bulkier items such as manifold gauges, hoses, cable wires and even a tablet: pocket for a tablet or laptop is only 7\” X 10\”; fits a small laptop or most tablets.
The tool backpack features an innovative quick release handle that allows easy access to the larger tool bay compartment and reduces the strain on the shoulder straps unlike any other backpack bag.
The Tech Pac’s patented center panel design offers dual bays with two tool storage platforms in each bay. The center panel design with the main tool and meter storage options on each side centers and stabilizes the backpack. The Tech Pac, either when closed and ready for transportation, or opened for quick and easy access, is uniquely designed not to tip over unlike most backpack bags.
It also includes D-rings, bit extension and memory stick pockets, and a stainless steel tape clip.
The TECH PAC is also made for comfort with a thermo-formed EVA padded back panel that helps cushion the load (which also provides structural stability), a padded load displacing shoulder strap system with multiple adjustment strap points and an ergonomic TPV rubber grip.
“The most difficult assignments for tradesmen are those where you need to climb a ladder or haul tools over long distances. You need to be able to carry all the tools you are going to need safely and comfortably,” said Roger Brouard, founder of Veto Pro Pac and the designer of the Tech Pac.
Brouard added, “We wanted to see first hand how tradesmen in the field deal with those conditions, so I spent weeks with them on the job observing them – from looking at OSHA standards of three points of contact on ladders, hauling tools up with a rope, to the need for a backpack that would fit through cages and stand up when being used, to a backpack that is comfortable and won’t get wet when placed down in wet or muddy conditions. This product is the result of those observations and the resolution to those challenges.”

Veto Pro Pac Tool Bags Product Care and Maintenance
Keep the Zippers Clean & Lubricated
Over time, dirt and grit will “clog” the zipper coils preventing them from staying closed. To keep this from happening, clean and lubricate your zippers twice a year (more often if you work on a job site with a high amount of airborne debris). To clean the coils: Scrub them with soapy water; a tooth brush works very well. After scrubbing the coils, blow them out with an air hose to dislodge any other fine grit that didn’t dislodge with the brush. To lubricate the coils: Apply a silicone spray, beeswax or a zipper lubricant.
Protect the Zippers From Sharp Objects and/or Excessive Heat
Any sharp object or heat source is capable of permanently damaging the zippers. Once a zipper coil is cut or singed the zipper will not function and in most cases is not repairable. Most of the cut zipper coils we see are the result of sharp tools stored inside the bag with the sharp side facing up. Make sure to keep the sharp edges of your tools facing down in your bag and away from the zipper coils.
Don’t Overstuff the Bag
Overstuffing your tool bag will very likely cause significant stress on the zippers that is above and beyond what the bag was built for and will eventually cause the zipper(s) to separate. If you have to work hard to close your zipper(s), your tool bag is most likely overstuffed… proceed with caution!

Was buying cheaper backpacks for a while and finally made the decision to drop the money for a veto. Best decision I’ve made in a while. Everything about this bag screams quality and durability. It feels great while carrying, and the hanging hook is an excellent feature. The zippers are heavy duty and will seemingly last a long time with proper upkeep. Love this bag, especially in the high vis.

Don’t let the price point make you second guess or wonder, it’s no hype, they are definitely worth it, if you’ve been through tool bags like I have, once you get a veto, I promise you won’t go back to a different brand and your gonna tell a big difference in the detail and build of this bag compared to others and a 5 year warranty to back it up. You can never go wrong with Veto products. I’ve had a few of their bags and have used the warranty in the past as well without any hassle whatsoever. I tried another brand ONCE, and it ripped out. Couldn’t handle half of what Veto bags can! Now I’m back in a Veto bag and never looking back!

I will admit the price tag on this bag almost scared me off. You do get what you pay for in this case. This bag is as durable as you would hope for the cost, and has plenty of room for every tool I need on the job and more. I can’t stress it enough that this is worth every penny!

I’ve had the hi-viz tech pac for over a year and still going strong. Everything is still in great condition. It does get a bit dirty from my job, clean it weekly and keep the zipper lubed up. You take care of this bag, it’ll take care of you. Your back will break before this bag will. Worth the money. No regrets. Just pure satisfaction.

HiRez—This bag is TuffStuff!!!! My first bag and the quality is top notch. When you get this bag😳 those dollars that you drug yourself to spend, magically disappears. Super luxury!!! I was ready for my first job, until, I tried to lift and carry this thing OMG HEAVYWEIGHT!!! I had to go back and unpack because I stuffed all my essentials, in which, this bag holds a lot, I need bag #2. While I could carry this bag and by the way, the straps will not break, DID I say, WILL NOT BREAK. However, I have too much stuff for just this bag; So, this will be my Electricians bag. I am technically a millwright and the bag is perfect for all my wrenches hammers and everything else I throw in it. It stays upright on small surfaces that my old bag will fall over. The hook is perfect and can hold the bag with ease. We carry a lot of weight and the way the bag is made it supports Your back and you can climb up and down starts and ladders. Have turned a lot of my coworkers on the bag.

Love Veto products. This backpack is the best money can buy. In the HVAC trade this is a must needed tool. Also, the warranty process is awesome and easy. I know its hard to cough up this amount of money but you get what you pay for. With the experience i have had with the veto products and warranty I feel i got more then what i paid for.

I’m a travelling technician for industrial packaging machines, I needed a bag that holds necessary tools, transportable through complex and dirty plant environments, and one that keeps tools organized through airport screening and baggage bashers. This backpack fits the bill. Backpack is like referring to a tank as an automobile though, as this is a very robust bag, and looks like it will hold up very well over the years.

This is one hell of a tough bag. Just for fun, i bring it home on the weekends so that i can try and find new ways to better organize it to increse my productivity at work. First off, I’ve been eyeing this up and comparing to other brands online for a while and finally decided to order it to use as my main service bag. I have a tech Mc and tech xl already. One has become my duct work bag, the other a finish out bag. I also have a Couple MB’s / MB2’s for my various meters. So I already knew what kind of quality to expect. But wow, I am BEYOND IMPRESSED. As an owner who also works in the field I can say that this bag has absolutely improved my day to day activities, so much so that I’m thinking of buying one for each of my guys. It saves me so many trips back and forth to the van. It frees my hands up for the constant phone calls that need to be answered while I’m carrying things. And it looks a lot more professional than carrying a bucket of unorganized tools into a customers business or home. It’s so easy to keep organized. Once you get everything where you want it, you can grab your tools without even looking for them. The hook makes it easy to keep it up off the ground or floor when working around water. And it works great for keeping the bag from falling over in the van. I love this bag.

I got to see one of these in
I got to see one of these in person today for the first time since they have come out and I noticed no one has reviewed one of these yet. Now I’ll start off by saying I do not own this particular bag but I am a repeat Veto Pro Pac customer. I currently own a Tech MCT, MB, and Tech LC and love everyone of them, there’s not a better tool bag brand on the market. So back to the Hi- Vis, so after seeing this bag on the internet for months and really wondering about the yellow hi-visibility material. It almost looked like a slick plastic or vinyl from the pictures but in person the actual material is a very durable stout ballistic material just like the regular Tech Pac, maybe tougher. They also added the hi-visibility grey to the tool pockets on the interior which really makes the pockets stand out and they also added a magnet to the inside where the shelf option comes into play. I’d love to get this bag pretty soon and give an updated review after use in the commercial HVAC field, anyways I hope this review clears up any questions you might have and I hope you enjoy these awesome bags.
