The Veto DR-XL ALL PURPOSE TOOL BAG offers more capacity than the DR-LC tool storage bag. The DR-XL is a compact gate mouth style bag with a padded adjustable panel system to secure chargers and batteries for cordless power tools or take the system out and use as a “Go To” tool bag for larger tools that are not easily stored vertically in other Veto Pro Pac tool bags. The DR-XL could even double as a weekend “Over-Nighter.”

Veto Pro Pac Tool Bags Product Care and Maintenance
Keep the Zippers Clean & Lubricated
Over time, dirt and grit will “clog” the zipper coils preventing them from staying closed. To keep this from happening, clean and lubricate your zippers twice a year (more often if you work on a job site with a high amount of airborne debris). To clean the coils: Scrub them with soapy water; a tooth brush works very well. After scrubbing the coils, blow them out with an air hose to dislodge any other fine grit that didn’t dislodge with the brush. To lubricate the coils: Apply a silicone spray, beeswax or a zipper lubricant.
Protect the Zippers From Sharp Objects and/or Excessive Heat
Any sharp object or heat source is capable of permanently damaging the zippers. Once a zipper coil is cut or singed the zipper will not function and in most cases is not repairable. Most of the cut zipper coils we see are the result of sharp tools stored inside the bag with the sharp side facing up. Make sure to keep the sharp edges of your tools facing down in your bag and away from the zipper coils.
Don’t Overstuff the Bag
Overstuffing your tool bag will very likely cause significant stress on the zippers that is above and beyond what the bag was built for and will eventually cause the zipper(s) to separate. If you have to work hard to close your zipper(s), your tool bag is most likely overstuffed… proceed with cauti

What can I say , it’s an awesome bag with all the Veto quality that you expect.I’m a Solar Service Tech and can’t wait to put this bag to work .I loaded my Makita impact drill, hammer drill, mid size band saw , 6 5.0 ah batteries and an mc4 crimper.
Hope Veto comes out with a DR-XXL with the same bells and whistles as this DR-XL but with the extra room in every direction .

I’m very impressed with the capacity that this bag holds. It’s exactly what I need as an electrician. This bag is well-suited for the purpose of storing batteries a few drills and many bits. I’m also quite impressed with the build quality. It really cannot be beat. Thanks VETO for coming out with such a beautiful product.

Love the velcro divider system. Endless opportunities to organize this bag should your needs change. I have my Makita 18v drill and impact along with charger and plastic drill bit case and a stud finder all nestled in said dividers. Another meter sits on top of these items. Side storage pockets are excellent. Get this size…..it’s perfect!

The DR-XL has been an awesome addition to my little Veto collection. I store my M18 impact and hammer drill, along with a charger, a few batteries, hammer drill handle, and 3 drill bit indexes and everything fits in the bag easily and organized. The bag seems very, very well constructed and seems like I will get many good years out of it. Thanks for making quality products Veto!

I was looking for a bag that would hold a drill, some tools, and fasteners. I wanted the gate mouth top to readily access the interior. So far the DR-XL has exceeded my expectations. However, what I like the most is the quality VETO put into their products. I set the bar very high on quality and durability and VETO exceeds my expectations!

I’ve had this bag for a month and I love it. I use this and the Tech LC Large Tech Tool Bag, which I think is the best tool bag/box I’ve ever owned. The quality is unlike any other product. I really like the spring-loaded opening, the durable materials, it’s just a very high quality bag. I know that if I were to give this bag as a gift the recipient would become a lifelong Veto Pro Pac customer. I know I would.

Absolutely love the design on this drill bag. I can carry 3+ Milwaukee batteries, a hammer drill charger, PVC cutter all in this bag with room to spare. I also Cary my sawzaw in the bag when I need it but can’t zip it up without putting to much stress in the bag. The Velcro is super tuff and don’t move. I highly recommend for anyone that likes to have your power tools organized.

I received the drill bag
I received the drill bag yesterday, and just tonight I loaded it. I use a Dewalt 18 volt drill and impact gun. Big, heavy and old. I carry four batteries, and two chargers. I decided to carry only drill bits for now in the new bag. I’ll carry the bits, countersinks, but drivers, etc. In a separate container, since they take up substantial real estate. Everything fits, and the bag zippers up nicely.
I’ve been using a Husky open type bag, modified with an electric conduit handle, to carry the drills previously. Do you think I’m happy with the new bag? The bag is more awesome than a new truck. The weight balance is even. On top of that, I will be able to carry some new tools that are a little delicate, since the drills typically don’t go in the house during a demo.
I really can’t figure out how you guys design these bags. I’d have about seven prototypes, and still not be happy. I guess it is the curse of being the son of an engineer. You will probably ask, what could we have done better? Well, I’ll offer that up as soon as I figure out how you can make my LC bags better. I’ve owned them for a long time now, and they too are not in any way lacking.
The exterior pockets on the drill bag are going to be the bomb. I’ll be able to grab screw drivers, small bars, and other impulse tools in an instant.
I’ll tell you more once the bag is in service. Unlike a new truck, I can put this bag anywhere, and not have to worry about incidental damage. It will be hard to hurt. I can’t sneeze on my aluminum body Ford pick up truck without the risk of a ding. My other Veto bags don’t stain. They are a little faded, but they seem to look better with age. They are much like me. I don’t age, I just appear experienced, and distinguished, yea, that’s it. I’ll have more to say later, as I use the bag. I have to say that I don’t think in the long term, I’ll be able to offer any thing less than a five star rating. I’ll try to be fair, and honest, but these bags are the best.

It’s like Veto knows what
It’s like Veto knows what everyone is thinking and they just execute! I love the modularity of the bag. I can keep power tools, chargers and batteries organized. The organization for hand tools on the outside of the bag is a wonderful idea. I think if the slots were in the inside of the bag it would have had to been much wider which would have also made the bag heavier. The bag is tough and survived it’s first and last airplane ride with minor scuffs. Flight crews are just too rough on gear. I can’t think of anything negative to say about the about the bag. Except! This is a contractor series bag and they issue you a tech series strap like you would get from buying an MCT. This bag along with the rest of them can get heavy once you remove the organizer and load hammers and pipe wrench, socket sets etc. So an improved contractor strap would be a better solution just ditch the Velcro. I’ve always felt the contractor straps are wider and grip your shoulders better than tech series straps. It compliments a Tech PAC bag very well helping to eliminate some of the weight going into that secondary bay against your back. Other than that this things a score!

Great new series on the tool
Great new series on the tool bag. I love the new dr xl it has lots of room on the inside for volt meters and wrench roll and other larger tools. Many exterior pockets for the everyday screwdrivers and wrenches. This is the second veto pac I own and they hold up great!
